Today I learned that Former aviation minister and PDP Publicity man for the 2015 campaign Femi Fani Kayode was assaulted in EFCC custody by one Officer Kabiru. @realffk is said to be injured. More details to come. I was also notified that he's being housed in Ikoyi prison awaiting trial for alleged charges to do with the arms deal money that was used for former President Jonathan's campaign.
He made bail and new charges were added to it making them able to detain him further. Most Nigerians say that it's a political witch hunt and you cannot silence strong voices like Femi's. I hope he wasn't badly hurt. These EFCC officers carry assault rifles along with their police escorts. The EFCC is the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Nigeria.
