Ashley Greco is a member of the Scott Fox morning show on Toronto's Z103.5FM. This gorgeus radio darlin looks like she's 16 today. I really need my botox shots now as everyone is looking younger than me. We at HipHossip wish her a Happy Birthday today and enjoy your day Ashley. If you think Ashley is just a radio personality, nada! She's also a singer. Watch Ashley sing the Canadian National anthem at a Toronto Blue Jays game in 2007 below.
Happy Birthday Gurl! Listen to Ashley 5-9am along with Scott and Dave on Z1035.com online if you are outside Toronto or Canada.
As you know, some of our dynamic radio personalities have been off at the cottage or the Island and more visiting loved ones. We did miss them! Boy, did Devo Brown's screaming just jolt some electricity in my bones in the morning. That JJ and Melanie soft morning voice on Flow 93.5FM makes KJ hit the snooze button a billion times. Devo's voice kicked us outta bed!
Chris Evans of Z103.5 was in Prince Edward Island chilling with the family. Join him on Facebook and you get to see his sweet boys Ty and Jase in some more fun pictures. Aww! What a family man!
We congratulate the entire staff and the boss Wayne Williams, the Dynamic Program Director who is also one of KJ's "fans." Hey, you heard the kid at 7:09 in the Estelle interview........"Bye to my fans."
Best Local Radio Station FLOW 93.5 FM in the NOW TORONTO READERS POLL. Wayne and KJ is seen above chilling at the JJ and Melanie one year anniversary party.
Chris Evans is like the better version of Canada's dreadful Buckley's cough syrup! Only with honey and vanilla flavor. LOL! The mid-day medicine for your workday. Did you know in the last ratings book for Toronto, Chris Evans had thenumber 1 midday show in their target demographic women age 18-34. Over the past year he has done very well in his time slot and with 17 years in radio we think he has finally achieved success in Canada's biggest market on one of the country's best radio stations.
Now there is a special HipHossip surprise on that show today. Chris is on the air now so better turn your radios to Z103.5FM now till 2pm. World visitors on the live feed on the left, you can listen online too. Keep listening.......
Meanwhile Z103.5's Summer Rush concert that was held this summer in Toronto and Halifax will be broadcast on BPM TV on Oct 30th. Z put 17,000 people at Canada's Wonderland and another record amount of people at Alderany Landing, Halifax.

My homie 4 life Devo Brown, drivetime radio personality of Canada's FIRST hip-hop station, Toronto's Flow 93.5FM kinda..................spoke to Kanye West on the paparazzi attack! My brother in music reporting and Toronto's leading music reporter, 680 News' Rudy Blair recently interviewed a bunch of artists with videos posted on the radio station's website. You recall Rudy won Toronto's "Media Idol" earlier this year.
You must check them all out but it was Katy Perry's that caught our attention. Rudy asks Katy about this controversial song that kids are loving and parents are sighing. LOL! Click here to view this and more interviews on 680News' beautiful new website.

What a beautiful Monday morning the 18th of August 2008. The famed morning show duo celebrated a big one. JJ King and Melanie Martin celebrated their first anniversary at Fran's restaurant downtown on Victoria and Shuter. There were friends and fans of the show, lots of cake and even a JJ and Melanie special breakfast made up of pancakes one stacked on top of the other. LOL! I have blogged the two's show for a year now and all the fun stuff that happens on that show.
Remember when I interviewed Melanie last year, we reflected on her getting into the radio career and the determination to be where you wanna be. Many memories has gone by from even when their new Producer arrived to join the show in Toronto. Johnny Michaels aka "Newbie" came to town, signed his apartment lease and before the ink was dry, roaches invaded his apartment! We at HipHossip told him to demand the "gel" treatment. Some kinda poison to roaches and safe for us humans and Newbie even thanked me for the advice at the MMVA awards when I saw him there at the press room interviews with JJ. One thing that makes this my morning show fave is that they are who they are and do it just natural. You feel like you have known them forever.
Melanie is the mother of a teenager and spends a lot of time with her longtime boyfriend as we know him on the show as the "BF."JJ is a married dude enjoying life constantly with his wife and Newbie has fascinated us with some silly things on the air that we felt like putting him on a most wanted list. Remember the baddest crime he committed? Going to his sister's wedding cake before the reception started and cutting a piece for himself and his girlfriend???Whoa Newbie! The morning show is as real as it gets on Flow 93.5FM. Newbie was not present at Fran's as he had to be in the station controlling things for this unique remote show.
Team Flow's Lexi and Kid Famous were on hand as KJ became their instant pal! Lexi introduced KJ to JJ and Melanie and he even met Wayne Williams the Program Director who gave him ashirt. KJ promptly went to change in the washroom claiming he had to pee. Some city construction workers even came in to fulfill their fantasies by personally wishing Melanie Happy Anniversary. See that in the video below.

OK, so you all have been calling for 2 days now wishing me a Happy 45th birthday! Thanks to everyone who cared but most importantly that huge shout out between 5.30pm and 7pm from Devo Brown, my homie #2 on MySpace and fave radio personality in Canada. Devo can be heard daily on his drivetime show Flow Factor at 3-7pm daily. Also check his blog out and join his super mailing list at www.Devo Brown.ca
Ne-Yo was on Flow 93.5Fm this morning at 9.48am and talked about how he criticized Lindsay Lohan's album and really wants to apologize to her personally as he is still trying to reach her people. He talked about his relationship with Hayden Panetierre and stated they only did a charity thing for two days and they went to eat after and the paparazzi snapped them stating that they were dating for 7 years. He talked about Prince coming to his Grammy party and he was starstruck.
The forthcoming album is coming August 5th 2008 and it's titled "Year of the Gentleman." He stated his mind on thatboredom with urban music piece I reported and he said..."I'm black! I will always be in URBAN MUSIC." He looks up to Kanye West and he introduced his single "Closer" and thanked JJ and Melanie for waiting on him. He was stuck in traffic and was 35 minutes late! For those of you fans that waited on him too at the office, you can listen to it now on my audio YouTube. He performs with Alicia Keys tonight at the ACC here in Toronto. Great job JJ and Melanie of Flow 93.5FM!
Diane, Alda Lo and far right Jocelyn Blandford of the Stylus Group Per Sway who made it possible for HipHossip to cover this! Thanks to these DYNAMIC LADIES!!!
With Addie "Mindbender" Stewart of NOW Toronto magazine who promises to do a story on this site! Oh Yeah!!! OR he's going to the gallows!
Urbanology Magazine Publicist Craigg Slowly, me and Kevin Ash of Universal Music
With one of my sons, Eni who hooked himself up with 3 chics! Mom and son in da club!
With Canadian R&B Superstar Ray Robinson
With Flow 93.5FM's drivetime DJ Devo Brown
It was one fantastic evening and being my first one in Canada, it will be a yearly MUST! The evening began with Disc Jockeys from radio and clubs mingling together around the bar and red carpet with media interviews plus photo flashes everywhere.
I met Rudy Blair of 680 News and we did an interview with a small media outlet while we were there. We even spoke of my Media Idol campaign to get Rudy the winning vote. I met Wayne Williams, Program Director of Flow 93.5FM.
Above are Sean Dheju and his DJ brother from Hip-Hop Canada. Gail Philip of UMAC was also there and even Kevin Ash of Universal who's my good guy stay good unlike Rihanna good girl gone bad!LOL! Craigg Slowly of Urbanology magazine, the top hip-hop publication in Canada was also in the house amongst others.
The award show started promptly at 8pm with DJ Starting from Scratch kicking everything up on his sophisticated MAC laptop. A little power glitch ensued around 8:26pm and power was quickly restored in 5 minutes.
When it came time to winning the Toyota Yaris car, the winners of the fan choice awards came on stage and were all WOMEN! They were all given keys to the car and the first lady that went in there started the CAR! Save the best for FIRST!
With Canadian R&B Queen Kim Davis
PPlus of Flow 93.5FM show The Real Frequency also snagged an award for the Best Underground DJ while Montreal's Little Thunder won the Reggae DJ of the Year!
DJ Baby Yu who is moving to Atlanta and I hear he's already working with the BEST over there. My pal Alex Gidewon who owns AG Entertainment and top club Velvet room plus I hear he's also doing gigs at the Compound club too in the ATL. Now with two DJ awards, it all all looks GOOD! Congrats to Baby Yu!
There were several highlights of the evening. DJ's won their respective trophies as well as a performance by the Kid Famous who rapped his way through his hit song "Canadian Boy."R&B Queen Kim Davis also performed on stage as well as other artists.
With Female DJ nominee DJ Queen of Spades
One category I was watching closely was the Female DJ of the Year which was won by Toronto's Mel Boogie. Wonder if she's related to Scott? LOL! One of her counterparts DJ Queen of Spades was such a darling as I met her and talked to her about the MC stuff.
One thing most of you don't know about me is that I am actually the 2007 Best female radio DJ of the year at Radio Nigeria's Premier FM 93.5FM before I came to Canada last June. Aside from being the Ryan Seacrest of women, being a Pharmacist, Publicist and Journalist all with three college degrees, I worked at Radio Nigeria as a News Anchor by day and DJ on "Ladies Night Jams" on Premier FM by night! In fact if Wayne Williams were to call me that Jeni or anyone in there was on vacation. I could fill in promptly. I will get some of my audio samples on the blog soon. Ha! Ha!
Jully Black got an award for Canadian R&B Single of the Year for "DJ Play my song" and Alicia Keys won the International R&B Single of the Year while Kanye West won the same for the International hip-hop single of the Year.
Carl Allen was inducted into the Hall of Fame and DJ Starting from Scratch had the honor of inducting him as he had a lot of influence on Scratch. It was a sweet tribute!
The afterparty was at 6 degrees nightclub and we were transferred over there in a limo bus like the one L'il Wayne had in the video "Lollipop" except that this one was bigger. I did my rendition of the girls in the lollipop video in there. We were having a BLAST! This Toronto is all good! It's a year this week that I moved to Canada.
Later on I met my adult sons at the afterparties and they were sitting with three chics chilling instead of working the cameras. The food was supplied by Nandos and we had an array of drinks and energy pops. We danced and partied the night away. I want to specially thank Alda Lo, Jocelyn Branford, Mike Zafiris and the ENTIRE STAFF of the Stylus group for making Keminications Media and HipHossip part of this event. My media pass goes to my ever growing collection of neck media passes hall of fame in my suitcase closet and I would be there next year by GOD'S grace!
For the complete list of winners, Click here to the Stylus group website. Please enjoy all the pictures and videos on YouTube! Below is the entire slide show!
Now who is this guy that has the BEST taste in the world? We already know that here at Keminications Media.
"Many people hear these women on the radio and have no idea what they look like. They are absolutely beautiful and really gorgeous and they should be on that MAXIM list!".......a male caller to Canada's hip-hop station Flow 93.5FM at 7.47am this morning speaking about morning on-air personality Melanie and midday personality Jeni.
