L'IL WAYNE NEWS: MR OFFICER GETS SUSPENDED!

An officer at Rikers Island has been suspended from duty for spending too much time in Lil Wayne’s jail cell. According to New York’s Daily News, Captain Raphael Collazzo spent 45-minutes with Weezy F Baby who is in solitary confinement for having a mp3 charger and headphones.

A source told the Daily News, “We don’t know what he was doing. We know the [security] camera picked him up. The president of the union for corrections captains, Patrick Ferraiuolo, spoke to Collazzo who told him, ‘I have done nothing wrong…I don’t have any dealings with [Lil Wayne].”

The rapper is set to be released on November 4, after serving eight-months of a year-long sentence for a gun possession.

Well at least it wasn't a female officer? Next thing you know a baby will be on the way with MRS OFFICER!

Alicia Keys and Usher lead the pack of Soul Train Awards nominees with four nods apiece.

Keys is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Artist Female, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Record of the Year, while Usher will compete in the Best R&B/Soul Artist Male, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Dance Performance categories.

Drake follows close behind with three nominations, including Best Hip Hop Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Ne-Yo, Monica, B.o.B., Nicki Minaj, Erykah Badu, Dondria, Janelle Monáe, Fantasia and Sade all received two nominations.

High off his "When a Woman Loves" single, R. Kelly is set to open the show. Other performers on the bill include Cee-Lo, Erykah Badu, Rick Ross, Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, Faith Evans, Keyshia Cole, Eric Benét, Chrisette Michele, Lalah Hathaway, Tamia, Tank, Freddie Jackson, Gyptian and Jeffrey Osborne.

Ron Isley and Anita Baker are on deck to be this year's Legend Award recipients. Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, will return to master the ceremony for the second consecutive year.

The 2010 Soul Train Awards are set to tape at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre November 10 and premiere on Centric and BET November 28 at 9 P.M.

BREAKING NEWS: BEYONCE IS PREGNANT WITH HER FIRST CHILD.

Singer Beyonce Knowles and her rapper husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child, US Weekly magazine reported on Wednesday.The 29-year-old Beyonce was surprised to learn she is in her first trimester of the pregnancy. She had wanted to finish another album but was overjoyed, the U.S. magazine said.

One of the music world's most influential and wealthy couples, Beyonce and Jay-Z, 40, whose real name is Shawn Carter, were married in a secretive ceremony in New York in 2008.The rapper is set to release a memoir in November called "Decoded," while Beyonce earlier this year completed a world tour promoting her 2008 hit studio album, "I am...Sasha Fierce."
Congrats to Beyonce and Jay-Z and can the papparazi better get ready to like NOT follow her around? I want her to have a healthy pregnancy.

CANADIAN GEMS: NELLY FURTADO TO BE INDUCTED IN THE CANADIAN HALL OF FAME.

Nelly Furtado -- The Victoria, B.C., singer struck gold when she moved to Toronto and met two of the Philosopher Kings, who produced her breakthough album, Whoa, Nelly! in 2000, which led to a Grammy for I'm Like a Bird. Her 2006 third album, Loose, produced another megahit, Promiscuous will be inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame next Saturday. Awesome.

DRAKE'S HANDING OUT DATING ADVICE.

In the current issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Drake draws from his vast experiences to drop knowledge on everything from how to approach a man, how to compliment a man, and how to get over a broken relationship with a man and move on.

Cosmopolitan: Is it hard for guys to get over breakups?

Drake: Definitely. Even after a long time, it’s painful to see an ex with somebody else. As happy as you are that she’s happy, there’s a little tingle underneath your heart. It’s not a sting. But it hurts a bit, and you wish it wasn’t there.

C: Is sex on a first date a deal breaker?

D: No, I don’t get why women think that. You’re telling yourself that all you have to offer is your body and the physical act. There’s more to you than that. If I like somebody, there’s so many great things to look forward to, even if we do it on the first night.

C: If a woman is into a guy, how should she get his attention?

D: I’m shy, so I like when she comes up and says “Hey, how are you doing?” That lets me know she wants to talk. The scariest thing is when you look at a woman and think of a million reasons why she wouldn’t want to.

C: What’s the best compliment a woman can give a guy?

D: I never mind hearing “You look nice tonight.” Guys put in a lot of silent effort. When I’m going on a date, I’m getting a haircut, I’ve got a new outfit, and I’m wearing cologne. So it’s nice when it’s noticed.

C: What’s the secret to a happy relationship?

D: Acceptance. You’ve got to be comfortable enough to be completely naked with lights on and the curtains open.

AVRIL LAVIGNE SAYS SHE'S OLD FASHIONED.

When it comes to bringing the sexy, there are two things a woman needs, according to Avril Lavigne: "Attitude and confidence," as she told Maxim magazine for their November issue.The 26-year-old singer is gracing Maxim's cover for a third time, and a lot has changed since she first posed for the publication when she was just 19.“I’m older and more comfortable with my femininity. The first time I was about 19 and was very nervous. I was more of a tomboy, I guess,” Lavigne said.Her style sensibility isn’t the only thing that’s morphed.

After hits like “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated,” the singer says she’s ready to produce an album that isn’t totally about boys.“This album is the first that is not boy-bashing,” she told Maxim with a laugh, but admitted that she’ll definitely draw from personal experiences. “I have officially just wrapped the album. I’ve been working on it for about two and a half years. I’ve lived a lot, gone through a lot, and put a lot into my songwriting.

RAPPER T.I STOPS ATTEMPTED SUICIDE ON A RADIO STATION/HOTEL ROOF IN ATLANTA.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, talked to the man about how a person "can make it through anything," Atlanta Police spokesman James Polite said."T.I. just happened to be in the right place at the right time," Polite said. The man tried to commit suicide! Harris faces his own life crisis this week when he appears before a federal judge, who is considering revoking his probation on a weapons conviction.Police were trying to talk the man, who appeared to be about 25 years old, from jumping from the 22-story Colony Square Hotel when Harris "appeared out of nowhere," Polite said. MEDIA NEWS: RICK SANCHEZ WANTS TO RETURN TO CNN.

We all heard what happened. Last Thursday, the CNN anchor Rick Sanchez called Jon Stewart a “bigot” and, shortly after Mr. Stewart’s Judaism was invoked, remarked that “everybody that runs CNN is a lot like Stewart.” On Friday, Mr. Sanchez was fired. And on Monday, Mr. Stewart took to his “Daily Show” to react. “Here’s the deal,” Mr. Stewart said. “If CNN got rid of Rick Sanchez because they didn’t like his show, fine.” (He whispered, “We weren’t that crazy about it either.”

CNN has not commented on the reasons for Mr. Sanchez’s firing. And Mr. Sanchez hasn’t said anything publicly since Thursday. But on Monday, his wife Suzanne wrote on Facebook that Mr. Sanchez had apologized to Mr. Stewart and that the two men “had a good talk.”Her message read,

“jon was gracious and called rick, ‘thin-skinned.’ he’s right. rick feels horrible that in an effort to make a broader point about the media, his exhaustion from working 14 hr days for 2 mo. straight, caused him to mangle his thought process inartfully. He got caught up in the banter and deeply apologizes to anyone who was offended by his unintended comments.”

THE HIP-HOP CHRONICLE FEATURED ON MTV ON THE KANYE WEST SCREENING

If there's one undeniable truth about Kanye West, it's that he never goes for the lay-up; he only knows how to shoot three-pointers with Kobe Bryant in his face. On Wednesday night (October 6), West showed his 35-minute film "Runaway" at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts screening room in London. He told the audience that his work was inspired by nothing less than Michael Jackson's "Thriller," which is widely considered to be one of the greatest music videos of all time.

The English blog Hip Hop Chronicle divulged that the opening scene features images of West running as Nicki Minaj provides a voiceover in a British accent. And while Hip Hop Chronicle reported that Hype Williams wrote the script, according to the BBC, it was written by West along with art director Vanessa Beecroft and producer Jonathan Lia.
