Liberal backbencher Dan Tehan is today calling on his party to get rid of the 'romantic sentiment' that Qantas must remain in Australian hands.

"What I'm calling for today is for us to look at the Qantas Sale Act. Obviously Qantas needs to have this regulatory straight jacket taken off it so it can continue to prosper and grow as a company." - Dan Tehan
