(REUTERS) US Attorney-General Loretta Lynch said on Wednesday (July 20) that a number of corrupt officials had treated Malaysia state fund as their private bank account.
Lynch said the US would not allow itself to become a platform for money-laundering.
She was speaking at a news conference to discuss a suit that seeks to recover more than US$1 billion linked to a conspiracy to launder money misappropriated from the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund. This is a developing story and there's more to come.
