KELLY ROWLAND WANTS TO GET MARRIED!

KELLY ROWLAND longs to get married after fighting back tears at former bandmate BEYONCE KNOWLES' top secret wedding earlier this year (Apr08). Rowland, who shot to fame in Destiny's Child alongside Knowles, was a guest when Knowles wed rapper Jay-Z in New York, and the singer, who broke off her engagement to American footballer Roy Williams in 2005, is now looking for a man to marry.

The Survivor singer admits she had been put off the idea of marriage but witnessing her best pal's big day has made her realise she wants to follow suit. She says, "Seeing Beyonce get married to Jay-Z did make me want to tie the knot, but I'm not ready yet." The single singer, 27, may have a long wait on her hands, because her work commitments keep getting in the way of love. She adds, "I'm just working. I was dumped in my last relationship because I was working so much - another one bites the dust."

And he even wrote the song Miss Independent, on his upcoming album Year of the Gentleman, about her.

BEYONCE TO GET $1 MILLION FOR ONE PERFORMANCE IN BERMUDA!!!

Beyonce Knowles is set to receive £500,000 (us $1 MILLION) for a one-off performance. The 'Crazy in Love' singer - who recently married rapper Jay-Z - is set to receive £250,000 for an appearance at the Bermuda music festival, with a further £250,000 to cover her expenses. Beyonce will join Alicia Keys and UB40 as headliners of the festival, which will also feature a performance by Beyonce's sister Solange and a host of other acts and comedians. Rock Newman, a producer of the music festival, said securing Beyonce will help put the tiny North Atlantic island - a British overseas territory - on the map: "This event will garner more worldwide attention for Bermuda than anything that has ever happened here. Folks around the world are going to say 'Bermuda has got it going on!'

" Last month, troubled singer Amy Winehouse also reportedly received a huge pay day for a one off gig. The singer was paid an undisclosed sum - believed to be £1 million - by Chelsea soccer club owner, billionaire Roman Abramovich to perform at a private concert in a converted bus depot in Russia. UPDATE: PROTEST LAUNCHED AGAINST ASHANTI WEBSITE!

R&B star ASHANTI has come under fire from civil rights leaders after launching a promotional website that greets visitors with a news report about a fake murder spree.Dozens of concerned parents and religious heads gathered outside the Los Angeles offices of her record label Universal/Motown on Tuesday (10Jun08) to protest the controversial site and demand it be taken down.

The site's news report - which users can personalise by selecting a "weapon of choice" and "victim" - claims to be linked to Ashanti's revenge-themed music video for new single The Way That I Love You, in which the singer plays a woman who stabs her cheating boyfriend to death. Najee Ali, head of Project Islamic Hope and one of the protest's organisers, has branded the singer's promotional stunt a "career mistake", insisting violence should never be used to settle disputes.

Ali tells MTV.com, "There are a lot of outraged parents who feel that the type of message and imagery that promotes violence as a tool for solving domestic relation problems is inappropriate. "Universal should recognise that they have corporate responsibility for promoting their artists and material that they want us to purchase." But the star's publicist Michelle Huff claims the video was intended to be a parody in the style of U.S. comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live.

In a statement, she adds: "The website... is not controlled by Ashanti nor is it her creative work... It is important to point out that Ashanti's history of creative expression does not glorify violence at all." Protestors are planning another rally in New York next week. Geez! Ashanti....violent? Where is the site? Couldn't find it. It's not here!!!

MEL B WRITES 'BLACK HANNAH MONTANA'

Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN has written a new sitcom which she describes as the "black version" of hit children's TV series HANNAH MONTANA. Brown has penned the script and is set to star in the new series, which has been picked up by TV channel Nickelodeon and is scheduled to go into production later this year (08). The singer claims the show has a style similar to teen star Miley Cyrus' programme Hannah Montana - which has been a major global success - but insists it will appeal more to young, black kids. She says, "I've written my own sitcom that's just been picked up by Nickelodeon that I start at Christmas. "I'm the star of it. It's a bit like Hannah Montana, but the black version."

MEL B REJECTED SEX AND THE CITY FOR HER MUSIC!

SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN turned down a role in SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE to concentrate on making her new record. The singer insists although she would have loved to have acted in the big screen version of the hit U.S. TV show - she didn't want to interrupt work on her forthcoming album. She tells British newspaper The People, "They asked me to do the film, but I decided not to. I wanted to bring my music out all at once." Boy, I thought she liked anything that had to do with sex!

JANET JACKSON SENDS DOG TO SCHOOL!

JANET JACKSON has been forced to send one of her three beloved pet bulldogs to school - because he's so naughty. The pop superstar had hoped to take all three of her pooches on her upcoming tour with her, but it looks as if one dog will miss out on the dates - because he doesn't get along with her other two mutts. She explains, "He's in Atlanta in obedience school because there are two of them (bulldogs) that aren't getting along. That's more important to me right now than him coming on tour."

Rapper PLIES was left baffled after verses he recorded for an USHER song were mixed - and then inexplicably replaced by a new version of the song featuring LIL WAYNE and BEYONCE.The hip-hop star happily obliged when Usher approached him to write and record a rap for a remix of his hit song Love In This Club, which he was told would also include Mariah Carey. But the Florida rapper was shocked after a new version of the song hit the airwaves - featuring Lil Wayne instead of him.

He tells MTV.com, "At the time, it was conveyed to me that it was supposed to be Usher, Mariah Carey and me. Obviously, that was a no-brainer as far as putting down what I had to do. I sent two verses to them. "Then I get a call from a friend of mine at a radio station that they was getting ready to go with the record, but the version they had didn't have me on it." But the Shawty hitmaker insists he isn't offended by the rejection.

He adds, "For me, I never allow myself to ever take anything personal in this business.
"I know a lot of times (there's) so much political stuff tied into a decision. It was good (for) me, because I got a call from Usher, and he let me know he was clear about the situation. "He loved the verse, he loved the record, but on their end, they ended up going with the version they went with. For Usher to even consider me to be a part of the situation, that was good enough for me." Love In This Club, Pt. II debuted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart last month (May08), and has since reached number 18.

OH NO! JACKSON PROMOTION PULLED BY RECORD LABEL.

JANET JACKSON has another album flop on her hands - bosses at her record label have ceased promoting DISCIPLINE and there are no more single releases planned. Jackson, who once broke chart records with seven U.S. top five hits from one album - Rhythm Nation 1812, has scored only one hit from her new release, Feedback. And there are no plans to try to top that. In a disappointing email correspondence to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, Jackson writes, "We started off with Feedback and the label and myself haven't quite seen eye to eye since the Feedback single so they've kind of basically stopped all promotion.

"I'm trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album, so I don't think you're going to hear another single off this album." At the height of her popularity, Jackson scored 19 hit singles from just three albums - Control, Rhythm Nation: 1812 and Janet. And she still holds the record for scoring number ones in America from the same album, over three successive years.

Wonder if the tour is still gonna be on? I've had my share of cancellations here in Canada this year...Soulja Boy, FloRida, Day 26, Danity Kane, T-Pain, Bone Thugs and Harmony. At least FloRida will be performing at the MMVA's next weekend and I will be interviewing him this Monday evening the 9th.

Janet Jackson's Manilow crush.

Janet Jackson used to have a crush on Barry Manilow. The 42-year-old singer was so obsessed with the 64-year-old 'Mandy' star she would pretend they were together when she saw him on television. She said: "I used to kiss the screen whenever Barry was on TV!" Janet - who has been divorced twice - also insists she has no plans to marry producer boyfriend Jermaine Dupri, and is happy with their relationship as it is. She added to US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight': "I don't know if we are going to get married. We're good where we are right now." However, Janet recently revealed she is keen to start a family of her own, saying: "At some point in my life I want children. When I was younger, I used to babysit my nieces and nephews." USHER: 'I DIDN'T FIRE MY MOTHER!'

R&B star USHER has denied firing his mother as his manager - he insists he "retired her". The singer ended his 15-year professional relationship with Jonetta Patton just days before Mother's Day last year (07). She then missed his wedding to Tameka Foster last August (08). He admits the pair fell out, over what he considered to be her lack of support, but he has stressed that he parted ways with her for her own sake.

Usher tells Vibe magazine's July edition, "(I paid her) the ultimate compliment - to retire her to be a full-time grandmother. My mother and I decided to change her situation. There was a conversation. I didn't write her a letter or pink slip her." The 29-year-old star admits the split was hard for him, but necessary for his career: "I hurt more than anything over these last two years when I felt my mother didn't really embrace my situation. My mother is an aggressive person. She makes hard decisions, and she caused me to make a hard decision as well."

As y'all know, we don't get TRL in Canada and MTV Canada does not show it either! We watch MuchMusic's version here. Check out the tirade. Usher is definitely a happily married man. Who starts these rumors anyway? I personally think it's from some insiders at the label. That CD is about to drop in days..........Publicity stunt that's too costly? I tell you....that Tameka Foster-Raymond woman is VERY NICE......Stop hating online!

WHAT?: Ne-Yo SHOCKED at Lindsay Lohan's new album!

Singer/songwriter NE-YO declared his support for LINDSAY LOHAN's singing career - insisting he was "shocked" by how good her new album is. The So Sick hitmaker was drafted in to collaborate with the actress-turned-pop star for her forthcoming third LP, which is due for release later this year (08). And Ne-Yo admits he was initially reluctant to work with Lohan, but soon changed his mind as soon as he heard her new material - even calling the 22-year-old to apologise.

He says, "(She has done) a ridiculously fabulous job. "I gotta admit, we were like...Lindsay Lohan? I mean, I've written for Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Celine Dion and... Lindsay Lohan? "I was so shocked I had to call her and apologise for what I was thinking because she did so good. I think the world is gonna be surprised."

PORNOTRIAL: R.Kelly's former employee KNEW THE VICTIM!

LATEST: R. KELLY's former personal assistant has identified the star as the man in the sex tape at the centre of his child pornography trial - and admitted she knows the alleged underage victim. Lindsey Perryman told the jury at the Chicago, Illinois courthouse on Tuesday (27May08) that she was "110 per cent" sure Kelly appeared in the tape. She also identified the girl in the video, insisting she was between 13 and 14 years old at the time the explicit footage was recorded. Perryman claims the alleged victim regularly visited Kelly at his recording studio, and on one occasion turned up with a pillow and an overnight bag. She told the court: "I did not want to believe it was Mr Kelly (in the tape).

"I think so highly of him and his family, they have been so good to me. He treated me and the people who worked for him well." However, Bennie Edwards Jr., a relative of the alleged victim, confessed he was unable to identify the people in the video. He said: "It favoured Mr Kelly, but you only saw the bottom half of a goatee." Asked if he could identify the female as his family member, he replied: "No. It's not her character." Kelly stands accused of videotaping himself having sex with a 13-year-old girl, and could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty. He denies the charges. The trial continues.

This stuff is giving me the chills and think it should be dismissed! It took so long to start....10 whole years and the girl is 23 now! Waste of precious time. There are more pedophiles to catch online right now!
