NE-YO AND FERGIE WIN BIG AT JAPAN'S MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS.

R&B superstars reigned supreme at the MTV Video Music Awards in Japan on Saturday (31May08), with NE-YO and FERGIE scooping the night's top honours. So Sick singer Ne-Yo's Because Of You landed the Best Male Video award, and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie won the Best Female Video for Big Girls Don't Cry. The event, which was held at Japan's Saitama Super Arena, also honoured several of Japan's hottest acts. Best Group Video went to Japanese rockers Yoshika & Lisa for Love Comes And Goes, while singer Hata Motohiro won Best New Artist of the Year for Uroko.

Canadian pop-punk star Avril Lavigne also took home an award - scooping Best Pop Video for Girlfriend. Best Dance Video went to DJ duo The Chemical Brothers, who were honoured for their Do It Again track. The ceremony attracted several superstars with Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey and rapper Flo Rida all gracing the event's red carpet.

SIMON FULLER WEDS LONGTIME LOVE SWANSTON.

SPICE GIRLS manager SIMON FULLER has married his longtime girlfriend NATALIE SWANSTON in a small ceremony in California. The music mogul, 48, exchanged vows with the interior designer on Friday (30May08) evening as the sun set in Los Angeles. The nuptials were witnessed by 80 guests, including Spice Girls Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton – who dated Fuller in the late 1990s. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her director husband Matthew Vaughn were also in attendance.

After the ceremony, the guests sat down to dinner served by exclusive restaurant The French Laundry, while DJ Samantha Ronson – producer Mark Ronson’s sister – provided the music. And no expense was spared for the wedding – Fuller provided all his guests accommodation at the luxurious five star hotel Auberge Du Soleil – costing $5,000 a night. Fuller is also the creator of American Idol

OH-UH: MADONNA FACES VISITATION CHALLENGE BY BANDA'S FATHER!

MADONNA and husband GUY RITCHIE are facing a challenge to their adoption of Malawian tot DAVID BANDA - the baby's biological father wants to fight for visitation rights to the child. The superstar couple's adoption of the two-year-old was finalised at Malawi?s High Court in May (08) - 20 months after being granted an 'interim' order allowing them to take the baby from a Malawian orphanage back to their London home. David was left at the care home after his mother died in childbirth and his peasant farmer dad Yohane Banda was unable to provide for the then-seven-month-old baby. But now Yohane claims government officials had promised him access his son ?every three to four years? as part of the adoption arrangement and he is looking into his legal rights to see the child.

He says, "I love the boy and it was in his best interests to put him in the orphanage.
"Because I support the adoption I would not want to put up a challenge that would reverse it, but I might challenge some aspects of the order. "I am discussing with my family about following up on having access to the child. We will not leave things the way they are - we will do something about it." Madonna and director Ritchie's adoption of little David has been marred by controversy ever since they brought him back to the U.K., with critics claiming the couple had been given special treatment to side-step the official adoption process.
