"Double 0 of Kidz In The Hall badly assaulted by security after performance; Management issues statement"

UPDATE: Days after Kidz In The Hall rapper Naledge (THE LIGHT SKIN ONE) was arrested for allegedly interfering with a police investigation of an altercation inside a Tempe, AZ nightclub, the duo’s manager is coming forward to set the record straight with his take on what really happened at the venue. Naledge (born Jabari Miles Evans) was taken in to police custody early Saturday morning (July 26) shortly after a fight broke out at the Cherry Lounge & Pit, according to Tempe police spokesman Sgt. Steve Carbajal.

Their Publicist Matt tells me this morning that Double O is in a lot of pain after the surgery but recovering. Obviously their participation in the Rock The Bells Tour has somewhat being halted.

Double O from the hip hop group Kidz In The Hall was assaulted by several bouncers early Saturday morning, July 26, while inside a nightclub in Tempe, AZ following a Kidz In The Hall performance. Group member and friend Naledge, who did not witness the assault on Double O, was arrested outside of the club. Naledge's attempt to get medical assistance for Double O was misconstrued as a hinderence to the investigation.

Reports that no injuries were sustained are false as Double O was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries from the excessive force used by club security. On Sunday morning Double O underwent surgery for one of his injuries. He is still in the hospital, but in stable condition. In the last 2 years, Kidz In The Hall have traveled to over 10 countries, have done 200+ shows and never before been involved in any altercation, big or small, with club or concert security, or police officers.

OMG! This is fockin absurd!!! Those kids have never caused trouble. They had so much fun on stage here in Toronto. Did these security types knew who they were? Regardless, everyone should be treated well damn it? I wish him well soon!

MAC MINISTER GETS LIFE WITH NO POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE BUT DOESN'T GIVE A FOCK!

Following his conviction last week for first-degree murder in the slayings of Anthony “Fat Tone” Watkins and Jermaine “Cowboy” Atkins, Bay Area rapper Andre “Mac Minister” Dow has been sentenced today (July 31) to life without the possibility of parole. Co-defendant Jason Mathis, who prosecutors accuse of conspiring and carrying out the slayings with Mac, was also sentenced to life without parole.

Kansas City natives Fat Tone and Cowboy were murdered by AK-47s in a remote construction area on the outskirts of Las Vegas in 2005. They were lured to the town with a promise by an unidentified party that they would get a chance to network with Snoop Dogg’s camp for a possible record deal. The murders are thought to be in retaliation for the 2004 killing of popular Bay artist Mac Dre.

While cleared by police, Fat Tone is widely thought to be responsible. Mathis was defiant at the sentencing, stating he felt no remorse for the brutal murders since he is innocent. He also promised to appeal the verdict. “I’m not going to put on no façade for nobody. I’m not going to do no 40 years,” Mathis vowed to the court. “You give me life without parole, my mentality is gonna be like f**k it, excuse me. You give me 40 to life, my mentality is gonna be the exact same way.”

The families of Anthony “Fat Tone” Watkins and Jermaine “Cowboy” Atkins have not released a statement regarding the convictions at press time.

OBAMA IS NOT FEELING LUDACRIS' SONG.

Bossip's video portal explains this mess! Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama has condemned an endorsement song from Ludacris, in which the Atlanta MC criticizes rivals Hillary Clinton and John McCain.

The song “Politics: Obama Is Here” contains celebratory bars on Obama’s success (“The first is destined and it’s meant to be”), but turns venomous when Obama’s rivals are addressed.

Ludacris references the bitter Democratic primary battle by stating “Hillary hated on you/So that b**ch is irrelevant.”

Regarding Republican nominee John McCain, the rapper rhymes:

“McCain don’t belong in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed/ Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped/ Ball up all of his speeches and I throw ‘em like candy wrap.”

Through his campaign team, Senator Obama released a statement condemning the song as offensive and typical of much of Hip-Hop’s current lyrical content. “As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” explained spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

NEW KIDS READY TO RELEASE DUET WITH NE-YO.

New Kids On The Block are set to release a duet with rapper Ne-Yo. The boy band - who recently reformed following their success in the late 80s and early 90s - have teamed up with the R'n'B singer on their new track 'Single'. According to gossip blogger Perez Hilton, the song will also appear on the band's upcoming album 'The Block' which will be released worldwide in September. Other singers who appear on the highly-anticipated record include the Pussycat Dolls and Lady Gaga, and it features tracks produced by Timbaland, Teddy Riley and RedOne.

New Kids On The Block - Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joe McIntyre, Danny Wood and Donnie Wahlberg - will release their first comeback single 'Summertime' this August. LATEST: The home belonging to KANYE WEST's late mother is facing foreclosure. Dr Donda West died in November (07) from complications following a cosmetic surgery procedure, and the Stronger hitmaker has since been handed control of her estate. But the rapper has so far failed to pay the $600,000 needed to settle the mortgage on Dr. West's Illinois condominium, it is claimed. And now court documents from Northern Trust Bank show the property will be sold to recoup the debt unless the money is paid off, according to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. West inherited a reported $250,000 (£125,000)-worth of assets as part of his mother's estate.

This all boils down to the fact that do we always settle our parent's debts when they die? The insurance does that. She did not have insurance and a will so now a judge forced him to pay and that didn't get anywhere. It's not his and he feels that they are taking advantage of his wealth! BEATLES LET IT BE DVD 'CANCELLED'

BEATLES legends SIR PAUL McCARTNEY and RINGO STARR have reportedly blocked the re-release of the notorious LET IT BE film. The documentary, originally intended to show the Fab Four at work in the studio, instead illustrated the extreme tensions between the musicians as the band was on the verge of breaking up. It famously included scenes of McCartney and George Harrison bickering over the latter's guitar-playing, and footage of an apparently disinterested John Lennon with his wife Yoko Ono. Although the film was shown in cinemas in the early 1970s, and released on VHS in the 1980s, it has been out of circulation for more than 20 years.

And now the two surviving Beatles have allegedly blocked plans for a DVD release. A source tells U.K. newspaper the Daily Express, "There has been talk of Let It Be finally being released but now there has been a change of heart. "The Beatles are still a massive global brand and it's felt it won't be helped if the public sees the darker side of the story. Neither Paul nor Ringo would feel comfortable publicising a film showing The Beatles getting on each other's nerves."

ROGER DALTREY'S PASSPORT FOUND IN A SUPERMARKET!

Roger Daltrey's passport was found in a British supermarket. The Who musician - who is due to start a world tour with the band in October - left his travelling documents in a Budgens food store in Kent. Luckily a fan spotted the passport but, instead of contacting police, she rang British radio host Christian O'Connell - who is a friend of the legendary rocker. Lisa Gillespie, who found the passport, said: "If I could get a message to him I would say that I didn't mean to cause such a stir. I just wanted to get the passport back to him so he could go on tour in America.

"I contacted Virgin Radio because I know Christian is friends with Roger from some charity work they did together and he's not the easiest person to contact." At first, producers of the morning show thought the call was a hoax, but after contacting the rock star's office they discovered the passport was genuine. O'Connell commented: "We still don't know why he was in Budgens but we do know that Roger Harry Daltrey will be a pensioner and get a bus pass next year - let's hope he doesn't lose that as well!"

THE GAME PAYS MACABRE TRIBUTE TO DEAD RAP ICONS.

Rapper THE GAME has paid a macabre tribute to his hip-hop heroes TUPAC SHAKUR, EAZY-E and the NOTORIOUS B.I.G. in a new song - by stepping into their shoes for the last 10 minutes of their lives. The Los Angeles-based hitmaker claims new track Never Can Say Goodbye offers his version of the late icons' final moments. He explains, "I wanted to be in Biggie, Pac and Eazy-E's shoes the last 10 minutes of their lives, so I wrote verses as if I were. "In their last moments, they knew they were going to die, or at least felt like they might."

The Game insists he can put himself where they were before they passed because he almost died after getting shot. He tells King magazine, "I got shot and felt like it was over for me. I've got something in common with them (Shakur, Eazy-E and Notorious B.I.G.), except I didn't pass; I came back to life." Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. were both killed in shooting incidents in 1996 and 1997 respectively, and N.W.A. star Eazy-E lost his life to Aids in 1995.

50 CENT OPENS UP ABOUT VIVICA SPLIT!!

50 CENT has revealed he split up with actress VIVICA A. FOX after the actress hogged the limelight at the 2003 World Music Awards. The rapper has steered away from talking about the break-up of his most high-profile romance - until now. He tells America's Sister 2 Sister magazine that many of the rumours surrounding the split are incorrect - and he dumped the Kill Bill actress when she took advantage of his generosity at the awards event in Monaco. 50 claims he invited Fox to the awards show as his date and made huge demands to make sure she could be a part of the show - but then she took over and became the event's host.

DIRECTOR GUY RITCHIE INSPIRED BY DRUGGIE ROCKER DOHERTY!

Filmmaker GUY RITCHIE has based a character in his new movie on troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY. Madonna's husband took inspiration from the Babyshambles frontman, whose shambolic lifestyle, drug addiction, court appearances, and love affair with supermodel Kate Moss have attracted acres of press coverage in the U.K. Ritchie's forthcoming film RocknRolla, due for release in September (08), has a character called Johnny Story, who hangs out in a crack den in London.

The director tells Britain's Empire magazine, "At the time I was writing it, Pete Doherty was everywhere. "I think what we all like is someone who fell and then stood up again. And that's probably the story with Pete Doherty. "There seems to be an implication that people want to see him jump (commit suicide). But at the same time there's a desire to see the likes of him being reborn."

Meanwhile Doherty is still heartbroken over his split from supermodel Kate Moss -- a year after they went their separate ways. The Babyshambles frontman dated Moss on and off for two years but their relationship ended for good last July. Also he is convinced he is a good role model for young people - despite his well-documented history with drugs. The Babyshambles frontman denies setting a bad example for his fans, claiming he spends time with aspiring musicians to help them develop their careers.

Jailed New York jeweller JACOB ARABOV's (FAR LEFT)company is suing ex-FUGEES star WYCLEF JEAN over non-payment of bills. Lawyers for Jacob and Company Incorporated claim the hip-hop star owes money for watches and jewellery he bought. In court papers filed in New York on Tuesday (29Jul08), the jewellery firm's bosses claim Wyclef `bought' several items between March 2002 and January 2006 for a total of $765,100 and still owes almost $320,000, despite "repeated demands for payment". A representative for the hitmaker has yet to respond to the allegations. Arabov, aka Jacob The Jeweler, was sentenced to serve over two years behind bars in June (08) for lying to investigators of a multistate drug ring.

TIMBERLAKE WAS COLOGNE-FREE FOR 10 YEARS??

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's new cologne with top fragrance firm Givenchy is the first scent he's worn in a decade. The stylish pop star recently teamed up with executives at Parfums Givenchy to come up with his own signature scent, called Play, and the new men's fragrance was unveiled in Paris, France last month (Jun08). But Timberlake admits it took quite a bit of persuasion from Givenchy bosses to get him to agree to the deal.

He tells Britain's GQ magazine, "First of all, I haven't worn cologne in 10 years, since the days when I'd drench myself, until I realised I didn't want to smell like something else, I wanted to smell like myself. CIARA IS ON AUGUST'S BILLBOARD MAGAZINE. TALKS ABOUT MOVIE BOMB?

One of the first new hip-hop acts I interviewed before an album came out back in 2004. She is now an actress. I will be interviewing her again soon about her new upcoming movie "Mama, I want to sing."

Sad to say that the movie is going straight to DVD in 2009. For reasons not expounded on, singer Ciara revealed to Billboard magazine earlier this month that her new movie, Mama I Want To Sing, will not be hitting theater screens later this year, but rather will be going straight to DVD in early 2009. If you all remember, jaws dropped when news spread that the dance diva was cast in the starring role and even more questions were raised when the only clip from the movie to be released did not feature Ciara and had the title song being sung by another singer.

If this news is true, (IMDB still has October 10th. 2008 listed as the release date) it is truly sad because outside of Ciara, the casting for this movie, which included Lynne Whitfield, Hill Harper, and Billy Zane, was truly spectacular. Warner Brothers recording artist Princess may have a new label home when she releases her forthcoming solo debut, AllHipHop.com has learned. While she remains signed to the label, which she joined as a member of the group Crime Mob, both parties have reached an agreement allowing the Atlanta native to explore her options.

AMERICAN IDOL host RYAN SEACREST is recovering after he was bitten by a shark at the weekend (26-27Jul08). The TV personality was swimming in the ocean off California when his foot was nibbled by the baby predator. He says, "I was bitten by a shark... (there were) a thousand people in the ocean, and I get bit by the shark." According to the DJ, the tiny shark left a fragment of tooth behind embedded in his foot - and he has the mark to prove it.

LATEST SHYT: Meanwhile, Rapper FOXY BROWN has lashed out at U.S. publishing executives after they accused her of failing to deliver an autobiography she was paid to write. Bosses at Simon & Schuster, Inc. claim the Candy star - real name Inga Marchand - was handed $75,000 in 2005 to pen her memoirs in a book titled Broken Silence. The deadline was set for February 2006 - but she never completed the work. However, Brown insists company bosses approved her request to put the project on hold while she underwent treatment for sudden hearing loss, after she was diagnosed with severe deafness in both ears in December 2005.

Her attorney Laura Dilimetin tells AllHipHop.com, "With Simon & Schuster's blessings, Foxy Brown underwent extensive surgical procedures and a lengthy recovery time, fighting to restore her hearing." The statement goes on to claim that it was at this point that "Simon & Schuster decided not to go forward with the project". The lawyer continues, "Many attempts were made by Foxy Brown's agents to resurrect the deal, to no avail." And while Dilimetin has poured scorn on the publishers' lawsuit, she reveals the rapper is still open to negotiations.

She adds, "I find it suspect that after all of these years of silence, Simon & Schuster pick now to bring this meritless action when they were the ones to halt the project... "(Brown would) love to continue with Simon & Schuster and welcomes talks to continue to solidify a deal." Brown's rap rival Lil' Kim has also been hit with a lawsuit by heads at the same publishing firm, alleging she accepted a $40,000 (£20,000) payment for a novel which was due for completion in June 2004, but was not delivered.

GEORGE MICHAEL was forced to delay his flight to Boston, Massachusetts by one hour on Sunday (27Jul08) - because rockers STING and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN were given priority by air traffic controllers. The Fast Love hitmaker, who is currently performing his first tour of North America in 17 years, was expected to fly out from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on Sunday evening.But Michael's private jet was delayed three times - because Sting and Springsteen were waiting to take off from the same airport, and were allowed to leave first.

Former Wham! singer Michael only just made it to his Boston concert in time, reports the New York Post's gossip column PageSix. A source tells the publication, "He was first delayed by the weather. Then he had to wait for Sting's plane to take off. And, finally, he had to wait for a plane carrying Bruce Springsteen. All the jets were jockeying for position."

AMY WINEHOUSE DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL.

Amy Winehouse has been discharged from the hospital 12 hours after she was rushed to an emergency room, PEOPLE has confirmed. "Amy is fine and she is on her way home," says her U.K. rep, Chris Goodman. Winehouse, 24, was taken by ambulance from her home in north London to the University College Hospital on Monday night after suffering what was believed to be a seizure. Wrapped in a red blanket, she was taken to the vehicle in a wheelchair while her dad Mitch looked on.

The setback was part of her struggle to get clean, the rep insists. (Both the singer and her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, have a history of drug problems.) "She was taking a new [medication] as part of her anti-drug treatment program," says Goodman. "And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one."

MICHELLE WILLIAMS GAVE UP EDUCATION WHEN DESTINY CALLED.

DESTINY'S CHILD ruined singer MICHELLE WILLIAMS' education because she was planning on completing her studies when she received a call to join the girl group. The singer halted her college education to tour the world with R&B singer Monica and had every intention of living up to the promise she made her parents about returning to school when destiny called - literally. She says, "I was so hungry. I said, 'Mama, let me do one more tour (with Monica) and I'm gonna get you that car' - there was a Chrysler that she always wanted... I said, 'After this tour I will go back to school.'

"After that tour, I got the call about joining Destiny's Child." But, even then, Williams felt she could balance her soaring pop career with her education: "They wanted me to be an alternate member of the group... I was like, 'Oh, alternate member? Cool. I can go to school and do my own thing. "But I never was an alternate member." Had Williams concentrated on her studies she's convinced she would have become an academic star. She tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, "I studied for two years before I started singing background for Monica... Many people in my family have degrees. There's three doctors, nurses and teachers."

She is also keen to join the celebrity twins club. The singer dreams of having three kids with a future husband and she wants her first two to be twins. She tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, "I really would like twins first so I can knock it right out - have them two and then have one more." Fellow singer Jennifer Lopez and actress Angelina Jolie both became mums to twins recently - and X-Men star Rebecca Romijn has just confirmed she's expecting twins later this year (08).

MADONNA'S ADOPTED SON HAS A NEW HALF BROTHER.

MADONNA's adopted son DAVID BANDA has a new brother - his biological father has a new baby son. Yohane Banda's wife Flora gave birth to the yet-to-be named boy at the Mchinji District Hospital in Malawi - the same clinic where little David was born in 2005. Yohane, 33, tells the Associated Press, "I am over the moon. We thought of keeping this birth a secret. But now we are happy to announce the birth of our son."

The new dad handed David over to an orphanage as a baby in 2005, shortly after his then-wife Marta died from childbirth complications. He claimed he couldn't afford to feed the tot. Madonna found the boy and took him back to her home in Britain the following year - although her adoption of him was only legally finalised in 2008. The pop superstar was criticised for choosing a child who still had a parent, in a country with no legal framework for adoption.

Foolish ass African men. Now he has money to take care of his new baby with the new wife! Only God knows what Madonna may have paid him. Hope Madonna doesn't go visiting there and hurt this poor kid's psyche!

BREAKING NEWS: Singer Winehouse hospitalized!!!!

Spokesman Chris Goodman says an ambulance took the 24-year-old Winehouse from her north London home to the emergency room of University College Hospital late Monday night. He says he does not yet know why Winehouse has been taken there.

The singer won five Grammy Awards, including best record, best song and best new artist, in early February, but her musical success has been overshadowed by her tumultuous private life and public struggles with drugs and alcohol. Her father has also recently said that Winehouse developed early stage emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine.

London Ambulance Service said they were called at approximately 8.40 p.m. to an address north London to reports of an adult female taken unwell.
