Man arrested after tackling Oasis band member here in Toronto!

A man in his 30s has been arrested for assault after tackling a performer on stage at the Virgin Music Festival in the Toronto Islands Sunday. Toronto police say the man rushed the stage during the final performance by British rock band Oasis. The man then began tackling one of the lead singers before being seized by concert security.

"The audience seemed shocked at first; the fan came out of nowhere," said concert-goer Ryan Markle. "There was a lot of gasping and yelling." The man was quickly subdued and the concert briefly disrupted, to the disgruntlement of many fans.

The Virgin Music Festival, which had been playing all weekend at Toronto Island Park, concluded with Oasis as the last performance. Despite the incident, "the band came on and played a great finishing set," said Markle.

Geez! I hope Noel and Liam Gallagher are OK! They are the lead singers and brothers. That's Noel above.....

UPDATE: The jerk did tackle Noel Gallagher and knocked down Liam before security grabbed him. We hear he lept from the crowd. Did he have a cape or something?
