The Toronto Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public identifying two suspects
in an assault investigation.

On Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to an assault call against a
53−year−old TTC bus driver at the York University bus loop.
It is reported that:
− two males boarded a bus at Dufferin Street/Alness Road, and became involved in a fare
dispute with the TTC driver, then walked to the back of the bus, continuing to swear,
− as the bus approached the York University loop, one of the suspects approached the driver
and began assaulting him,
− a struggle ensued, off the bus, between the victim and the suspect, when the second
suspect became involved in the assault,
− a passerby assisted the victim and the two suspects ran north onto the York campus.
The victim required stitches and was treated at hospital.
The suspects are described as:
#1, black, late teens/early 20s, 5'9", 180 lbs., medium build, wearing a brown coat with brown
leather sleeves, grey shirt with hood, blue jeans, white shoes, and a dark toque with "N.Y." on
the front.
#2, black, late teens/early 20s, 5'9", 169 lbs., thin build, wearing a white shirt, black shoes, a
grey coat, blue jeans, and a Blue Jays baseball hat.
