#HNNGayVoices: Vancouver Canada's GAY Deputy Mayor heading to Sochi to fight for Gay Olympians

Vancouver city councillor and Deputy Mayor, Tim Stevenson (THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck)
Tim Stevenson (CP)
I can tell you that Tim don't play and Sochi is in for HELL when he gets there. The Canadian embassy better be alerted. Even I'm not gay and wanna hit up that Sochi place and teach a lesson about human rights.

Vancouver's gay deputy mayor Tim Stevenson is heading to Sochi ahead of the Games seeking to ensure the safety of LGBTQ athletes, not only in Sochi, but at all future Olympic games.

He will speak with the Canadian and International Olympic Committees, seeking to have sexual identity specifically included in, and protected by, the Olympic Charter.

Mr. Stevenson will also ask the IOC to make the provision of Pride Houses mandatory for host nations.

#HNNMusic Nick Carter wants Bieber DEPORTED and states his bro Aaron is BETTER... in singing?

Aaron Carter after my interview about his new show in 2009 at the MMVA's in Canada
TMZ reports that Nick Carter said -- "Send Bieber Back to Canada ... Aaron Carter Is WAY Better Anyway." Justin Bieber is no Aaron Carter ... so says A.C.'s older bro Nick, who tells TMZ the Bieb should take his Canadian ass back to where he came from, stat!

Here's the deal ... we were out at the Maxfield store in Malibu yesterday when we asked the brothers if there was any real comparison between Justin and Aaron -- a former teen heartthrob who some people say was the "original" Justin Bieber.

That's when Nick broke it down ... saying, "Justin Bieber's cool and all ... a whole new generation .... but he's Canadian. Aaron's American."

He continued, "Go back to Canada, Justin ... America, stick with my brother."

Lets face it Nick, The truth is that Aaron is my pal and so is Justin. Aaron is NO Bieber! Aaron is better acting but I know he's doing all this new music and I'm loving it. The Carters are my friends from back in the industry reality show days and I love and respect that family. You won't find Aaron in that Bieber intoxication shit today.  #RIP Leslie Carter. Miss her so much.

This weather was so monstrous, I heard cars were piled up on highways abandoned everywhere. One poster on Facebook wrote a comment that got so many likes.

Althea Portlock Take some responsibility. Don't wait on the government to make choices for you and your loved ones. If the storm is coming and you live in an area that is not ordinarily prepared, keep yourself and your family safe. Call out from work, keep the kids home. Don't wait for someone else to make decisions for you and your family.

#HNNPolitics: Dynamic Businessman Femi Babalola officially joins the #OyoState #Nigeria Governorship race.

Myself and Femi Babalola who was at my grandmother's funeral Dec 2013

The Nigerian Tribune interviewed Femi Babalola, a renowned and well known business man in Ibadan, Oyo state who is the most visible credible candidate in the PDP opposition challenging the present administration.

As the race for the Agodi Government House in Oyo State hots up, ahead 2015 governorship election, an aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Femi Babalola, at the weekend, declared his intention to run, saying he has joined the race to serve the good people of Oyo State and work hand-in-hand with all to take the state to its pride of place.

This was as he charged the people of the state to beware of “imported politicians thriving on propaganda, borrowed ideas and parochial interests,” adding that “it is only those who live with the people and understand the terrain that will know the appropriate programme and project for each community.”

Babalola, who said he had resources to “make meaningful contribution” to the advancement of the state, as an employer of labour since 1990, added that the state deserved “a truly people-oriented government of its own.”

He added that the state did not need “a stooge administration, remotely-controlled from Lagos” which “executes only such projects that make money for the expansionists. For us in Oyo State, 2015 is about forward ever, backward never.

“2014 is here, the test-case and the political eve of 2015, when we would have another golden opportunity to decide in whose hands we want to entrust our collective destiny, our resources and, by implication, our future for another four years.

“Without mincing words, four years is a long period in man’s lifetime, therefore, one must not joke or toy with a decision that will affect him, his family and his society for a whole four years and, by extension, may even have an impact of a lifetime.”

#HNNMoney: Nigerians are BITTER over BAN of foreign currency aka HARD CURRENCY!

The US Dollar down to 150 from 170
The Canadian Dollar down to 143 from 154
Not good for those of us whose income are in $
Good for the average Nigerian.
Does not make a difference to
the politicians, rich pastors and rich Nigerians
who store hard currency in their homes
while the rest of us are BANNED from having it.
My clients pay me in $, by the time I get to the
Nigerian bank, its already been changed into Naira
WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!
Bcos the Govt says so!
