Sad day in so many respects in the music biz as Producer and Rapper J-Dilla would have been 40 today.
James Dewitt Yancey, better known by the stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee, was an American record producer and rapper who emerged from the mid-1990s underground hip-hop scene in Detroit, Michigan. Yancey succumbed to lupus in 2006 when he was 32 years old.

#RIP (February 7, 1974 – February 10, 2006) Hip-Hop celebrated him today and proclaims it Dilla day!
