My pals Whitney and Bobby's divorce on hold!

Whitney Houston's divorce has been put on hold because her estranged husband Bobby Brown has fallen out with his lawyer. Brown's attorney reportedly has quit after a series of fights with the fallen R&B star, and now a scheduled January 4 hearing looks like it will have to be delayed.

That date was arrived at after Brown suffered an alleged mild heart attack in October and was unable to attend his wife's deposition. In new court papers, obtained by "Extra," officials note, "The relationship (between Brown and his lawyers) has deteriorated to the extent that effective communication is no longer feasible."

Nate Dogg stable after suffering stroke!

By now you probably heard reports that Los Angeles bred crooner Nate Dogg recently suffered a stroke. Word is Nate is currently hospitalized at Pomona Valley Hospital and is not expected to be discharged until the New Year. Nate (born Nathaniel Hale) began his career as part of the group 213 which also included Warren G and Snoop Dogg. He played a huge role in the success of Deathrow Records in the early 90's appearing on Dr. Dre's The Chronic, Snoop Dogg's Doggy Style and 2Pac's All Eyez On Me.

Want to buy a house listed by a hip-hop celeb?

If all you wanted for Christmas is a home once owned by a celebrity, you're in luck. There are several on the market. Kanye West, Macy Gray, 50 Cent Jermaine Dupri all have cribs going for MILLIONS! That's Beyonce's house in Miami and that one's not for sale.

The Boston Globe says hip-hop has nothing to shout about this year!

Does it say anything about the year in hip-hop when the most compelling character in the entire genre - Lil' Wayne, of all people - didn't even put out a studio album? Read how Reporter Julian Benbow tears up hip hop in this article!

Chuck D of Public Enemy wants Def Jam position Jay-Z vacated.

As Jay-Z vacates his post as Def Jam president, another Def Jam legend is vying for the high-level music industry position. Chuck D of iconic group Public Enemy says he is the person for the job.

Nigerian Hip-hop artist Eedris apologizes to 50 Cent.

This happened right in my country some years back and since then Nigerian Rapper Eedris has lost some key endorsements, people won't buy his CD's for picking that fight with 50 Cent and he wasn't even invited to shows and guess what happens. He's in an audience last week not knowing that 50 was performing, the host of the show linked him and he apologized on stage to Curtis. All this over an airline seat in first class. This is the hip-hop news you won't hear about.

Hip-Hop News: Shakur Estate Files Injunction Against Death Row Records.

Lawyers for Amaru Entertainment and Afeni Shakur, co-administrator of the Tupac Shakur Estate, filed for an injunction against Death Row Records, Inc. and R. Todd Neilson, as Chapter 11 Trustee, to prohibit the inclusion of Tupac Shakur's unreleased tracks, compositions or sound recordings in the auction of Death Row Records. This woman is a SMART businesswoman. What will we do without Afeni who some regarded only as "some crack addict!" Remember she chose me to host the red carpet for the TuPac Oscar party in 2004 in Atlanta, when Pac was nominated for an Oscar for his documentary...."Tupac Ressurection."

Michael Jackson boots McCartney from "Thriller" song

Oh-Uh, Michael Jackson has removed Paul McCartney's voice from a recording of their 1982 duet "The Girl Is Mine", according to reports. The 49-year-old King of Pop has remixed tracks on his Thriller album for its 25th anniversary re-release in 2008 — with some radical changes. The music legends were friends at the time but fell out after Jackson bought the publishing rights to around 200 Beatles songs for $A54 million in 1985. King of pop Michael Jackson is set to stage a comeback next year after the new Thriller release in February and a Jackson Five reunion tour.

What did Sohh Gyant say about the Ludacris Foundation?

Whatever it is, it was in poor timing and deserved an apology in an open letter? Read it here...........

Hip Hop Junk News!!!!!

All that Raz B, Chris Stokes crap was so annoying to me. People and publicity will never cease to end. Jay-Z has stepped down from Def Jam. Possibly to settle down and start a family with Beyonce? The assault on Michael Jackson by one of Debbie Rowe's kids gathering bandaids all over his lips and the Trey Songz assault on a concert goer. Who knows? Meanwhile Mario, Trey Songz and Omarion were kicking it last night at Massey Hall in Toronto.

Neyo performs on Larry King Live's Xmas Special last night.

Chart topping R&B Artist Neyo was one of the artists that performed on Last night's Larry King Live Christmas special on CNN. He did "Because of you." and another track. Enjoy it!

Rap CEO J Prince Sues Apple, BET, And Viacom For Defamation.

The suit charges that Apple made available over its iTunes download service an episode of American Gangster that falsely portrays two men as murderers.

The CEO of a popular rap record label and an employee have filed a defamation lawsuit against Apple, claiming that the computer maker made available over its iTunes download service an episode of American Gangster that falsely portrays them as murderers.

The suit also names as defendants Viacom (VIAB) and BET, which produced and aired the television show.

James Prince, who also goes by the name J Prince and who's head of Rap-A-Lot Records, and employee Thomas Randle claim that their pictures were shown on American Gangster promotional spots with the word "murderers" stamped over the photos. They further claim that an episode of the show that aired October 10 falsely linked them to a notorious Chicago street gang called The Gangster Disciples.

"Neither Mr. Prince nor Mr. Randall [sic] has ever been convicted of any felony offenses, let alone murder," an attorney for Prince and Randle states in court papers filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Houston.

After the show's original air date, Apple, BET, and Viacom "caused the show to be made available for purchase by digital download on the iTunes Store provided by defendant Apple," the suit claims.

Prince claims the show's widespread distribution on television and over the Internet has damaged a reputation he's worked hard to build through various community endeavors in the Houston area.

Prince and Randle are asking the court to order Apple, BET, and Viacom to cease distribution of the American Gangster episode and are also seeking unspecified damages.

The defendants, including Apple, have yet to file a formal response. However, the very fact that a lawsuit has been filed over content available through iTunes may cause Apple to take a hard look at its procedures for vetting material offered for sale on the store.

The suit highlights how the digital download business has placed tech vendors like Apple, and rival Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), in the unfamiliar position of facing the same content-related liability issues that traditional publishers have stared down for years.

Pimp C's funeral was a circus, thanks to Bishop Don Juan!

Here's Bishop Don Juan at Pimp C's funeral. Jay-Z who asked Pimp C to jump on the Big Pimpin’ track was noticeably absent. We hear Jay and Snoop did not attend because the police said they could not provide extra SECURITY for them. That's sick! Here is how the AP described Bishop’s entrance to the funeral service:

The funeral attracted a heavy police presence, including FBI agents. It also attracted Pimp C’s fellow rappers, including Bun B, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Mike Jones and Willie D of the Geto Boys.

Bishop Don Juan, a self-described pimp and spiritual adviser to the stars, arrived just minutes before the ceremony ended, causing a stir as he sauntered down the aisle with an entourage of women scantily clad in gold and red while he gave a fire-and-brimstone sermon. He was holding a pimp cup and wore a foot-tall crown and a blue velvet cape.

I guess that is how you send a pimp off to heaven.

Dr Dre wins case against Detroit City Hall.

As he did in 2003, a Wayne County judge has dismissed an invasion of privacy case brought by former Detroit officials against Dr. Dre. Former police officers and the press secretary for former Mayor Dennis Archer accuse the 42-year-old rapper, whose real name is Andre Young, of improperly videotaping a backstage conversation at a concert in 2000.

Is Diamond, formerly of Crime Mob pregnant?

Take a look at the video and look closely at the baby bump.............Is that why she quit the group? I have a long lost interview with her that's in my other computer which is abroad. One day, we'll play it.

It's official! Diddy is sleeping with Cassie! Oh I mean "dating" Cassie!

SEAN "Diddy" Combs is in love again. The hip-hop mogul made the decision to "cut off the various girls he has around the world" and settle down with on-and-off flame Cassie - at least for now. Hope Kim Porter can get her sh*t together and know this guy is just a cheater!

50 Cent says he supports file sharing......Also bits about that cocaine scandal.

It seems that music publishers are forgetting to let their artists in on the evils of file-sharing again. Rapper, 50 Cent, recently gave an interview to PÃ¥l Nordseth in Oslo, and thanks to a translation on TorrentFreak, we learn that the famous rapper doesn’t see file-sharing as the problem the music companies. Remember what he said on September 11 on BET, "go get the CD, steal it, whatever." 50 Cent thinks a fan is dedicated simply because they own the CD. I guess my disk drive will be burning more CD's now. Read the rest of the story here.

On the cocaine scandal shown on Croatian TV: 50 Cent was caught in the middle of cocaine scandal after he was captured on Croatian national TV allegedly snorting cocaine backstage at a concert in Zagreb, Croatia. Croatia Radio Television reporter Ante Batinovic was supposed to wait outside the rapper's dressing room for an interview, but it appeared that he misunderstood a request to stay where he was and walked into a backstage area during a local channel's live news show during which he accidentally found Fiddy and two members of his posse, as claimed by Croatian news, snorting lines of cocaine off a table.

Bow Wow still recovering from STRESS!

Bow Wow did not attend Saturday's tour stop at Rosemont, Illinois' All State Arena with Brown and fellow acts Sean Kingston and Soulja Boy. In the statement, Sony said the artist is in good spirits and wants his fans to know "he loves them and will be sure to come back to Chicago soon."

Rap music declared illegal in Iran!

Iran has declared rap music illegal and says it will hunt down rap artists who attempt to reach local audiences. There is nothing wrong with this type of music in itself," the official for evaluation of music at the culture and Islamic guidance ministry told Iran's IRNA news agency. "But due to the use of obscene words by its singers this music has been categorized as illegal," he said. The CBC reports.

Is Kanye West avoiding any domestic US concerts?

Kanye West has backed out of what would have been his first concert on U.S. soil since the unexpected death of his mother, Dr. Donda West, last month. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that West dropped off the bill for the KDWB Jingle Ball at the Target Center slated for Friday night (December 7) in Minneapolis with only a few days' notice, due to an unspecified "family matter." He's been on several concerts abroad now but cannot deal with one at home right now I guess. It's hard dealing with losing your mom especially during the holidays........

Ludacris and The Roots put up hot concert in cold Vail, Colorado

Anyone who said Vail couldn’t draw big names in music should look again. Feeding on the momentum of last year’s Snow Daze, rapper Ludacris and neo-soul hip-hop band The Roots are both headlined the event Saturday night at Ford Park in Vail.

LA Times' Robert Lloyd talks about Snoop's reality show "Fatherhood" which premiered this past Saturday.

In Saturday's episode, Snoop loses a push-up contest with his older son ("Elizabeth, I'm comin' to join you," he wheezes, echoing Redd Foxx) and it is decided that he should see a doctor. Much is made of his fear of needles, which may be genuine enough, and the doctor sends him first to a yoga class, and then to a blind acupuncturist, from whom he runs. (He discovers finally that vacuuming is his Zen.) In another, he tries to get his kids to share his love of soccer -- "I'm trying to get y'all thinking outside of America" -- which leads to his claiming a nonexistent friendship with David Beckham. It's the premise that launched a thousand guest shots, and Beckham appears in due course.

Like Ozzy Osbourne, the George Washington of the genre, Snoop has no problem playing the butt of the joke: He's the father as child. Although coming attractions suggest that we will eventually see him at work, in the first episodes he's as randomly occupied as Ozzie Nelson, and, like Ozzie, spends a lot of time thinking about food. Sneaking fried chicken, which wife Shanté has cut from his menu, is about as bad as he gets.

We heard nothing about Snoop's real adventures in porn and pimping, his near-divorce in 2004, his early incarceration and ongoing brushes with the law. Some kinds of reality are more appropriate to this venue than others, obviously, and with a name out of "Peanuts" and a manner to which the word "laconic" barely does justice, the star can seem darn near cuddly. Shanté, for her part, has a spark and an ease that suggest she might do well playing someone other than herself, in some other, wholly, unashamedly invented context.

Snoop Dogg's kids coached by Soccer star David Beckham!

Soccer star David Beckham teamed with the children of gangsta rapper Snoop Dogg for a California coaching session to be aired on television. The session, to be aired Jan. 20 on E! Entertainment Television, features Beckham, Snoop Dogg and the rapper's three children, Cord, Cordell and Cori, day. Snoop wanted the kids to learn soccer but they were reluctant except if an expert coaches them, so Snoop called up David Beckham! "Snoop was really pleased to work with David," said a spokesman for Dogg, whose children are big soccer fans and idolize Beckham. In exchange for the soccer lessons, the British newspaper said, Snoop Dogg took Beckham to his favorite restaurant in Los Angeles: Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n' Waffles. Maybe Becks can talk to the British authorities about lifting that stupid British ban on Snoop. We've all sen the video on TMZ and we know the cops were outta line!

Pimp C nominated for 2 Grammys 2 days after his death!

Two days after he died suddenly in a Los Angeles hotel room, Texas rapper Chad "Pimp C" Butler received a Grammy nomination on Thursday. Butler and partner Bernard "Bun B" Freeman, who performed together as UGK (Underground Kingz), were nominated for their collaboration with hip-hop duo OutKast on the tune "Int'l Players Anthem (I Choose You)."

The recording will compete in the rap performance by a duo or group category with tracks from Common featuring Kanye West, Fat Joe featuring Lil Wayne, Shop Boyz, and a partnership among West, Nas and KRS-One.

"While this nomination is bittersweet to say the least, I am thankful for the acknowledgment," Freeman said in a statement. "And as this was a lifelong dream for Chad, it warms my heart to know that he has finally gotten the recognition from the powers that be that his talent, passion and relentless drive for music so rightfully deserved."

Is Jay-Z gonna be booted from Def Jam?

Rap mogul Jay-Z will reportedly be ditched by his Def Jam record company -- because bosses are sick of his excessive demands. The star -- real name Shawn Carter -- was reportedly eager to leave his post as president of Def Jam, a subsidiary of Universal, in favor of a new contract at Columbia, but new rumors suggest his current label may drop him first.

Rumors of a label change have been rife in the music industry after Jay-Z was reported to be unhappy with Def Jam following the appointment of producer/performer Jermaine Dupri as the president of their urban music division in February this year. But now the rapper could have the decision made for him as his contract with Universal is due to expire at the end of this month and negotiations for a renewal have so far proved unsuccessful.

Kanye West lead Grammy nominations.

Rapper Kanye West ruled the Grammy Award nominations for the third time in four years on Wednesday, reaffirming his status as the dominant hip-hop star of his generation. Big brother is probably JEALOUS now.........Kanye got 8 nominations including the coveted album of the year! Losing his mom has been very devastating for him.

Who's animating Weezy? OMG, Rap superstar Lil' Wayne will make his animated debut next month as a character on the season finale of the Award-winning cartoon, The Boondocks. The rapper will play a character named 'Nique' in episode #212, which is titled "Invasion of the Katrinians" and focuses on arriving survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

Rapper Spice 1 is shot..........in serious condition!

TMZ is reporting that Rapper Spice 1 is in critical condition after being shot in the chest. According to the Hayward Calif. Police Department, Spice 1 -- real name Robert Green Jr. -- was seriously injured, but it is not life threatening. What the hell is going on here in the world of rap?

Rapper "Pimp C" found DEAD in L.A hotel room!

Texas rapper Chad "Pimp C" Butler, a member of the chart-topping duo UGK (Underground Kingz), died in a Los Angeles hotel room on Tuesday, officials said. He was 33. This guy was on the brink of MAJOR STARDOM. I especially like their video with Outkast at that wedding where the 2 girls fought for the bride's flower and ended up destroying the wedding cake. He was talented! Butler is the second area rapper to die recently. Kenneth "Big Moe" Moore died six weeks ago of a heart attack. In May 2006, John "Big Hawk" Hawkins was shot and killed outside his Houston home. R.I.P Chad......

Snoop Dogg visits Ellen DeGeneres with daughter Corey.

Who in their late minds doesn't know that former gangster Snoop Dogg is now a Snooperhero as he has mained streamed his life. In a predominantly white female audience, he was cheered as a role model as Ellen Degeneres was doing a show about dogs yesterday. At first I was like......I hope she doesn't ask for another dog and that Iggy fracas starts all over again. After the SPCA guy was done showing her so many different dogs, she goes........"we'll be right back with one more dog" and out come Rapper Snoop Dogg very well dressed, suit and all! The audience full of women went BONKERS! Great job the Producers did there.

Snoop then talked about his reality show on E! Fatherhood and bought Corey, his lovely daughter with him. She was so funny. He then performed his latest single "Sexy and Sensual" from the upcoming February 2008 album. What a blast on the Ellen show! Oprah won't have any Rappers on her show. She's missing a lot! Kanye West has been the exception. You all know why......

Chamillionaire on Larry King about Don Imus return.

Wendy Williams, America's original black female shock Jock who has started to look like a DRAG QUEEN even had the nerves to come speak about nothing! She was freaking out about Imus' black sidekicks claiming they were there to warn him of any racial radars on the air. Please Wendy, spare me. You should stick to interviewing Whitney! Everyone was in the PR mode except the Rapper called Chamillionaire who Williams kept cutting off! To top it off, Imus was not on the show so the whole thing was totally worthless! You should have seen how they were petty back and forth and to think Williams and Chamillionaire were on the same side not supporting Imus's return. Anyway, as you can see, I snapped pictures of all their body language. The poor Rapper could hardly get his 2 cents out because of "big mouth Wendy."

Kanye West and Michael Jackson's Thriller almost ready!

From MTV, we hear about Kanye West and Wil.I.am's reproduction of Michael Jackson's Thriller, the best-selling album of all time, is getting big love in time for Valentine's Day. In celebration of the release's 25th anniversary, Epic/Legacy is revisiting it with a deluxe edition containing unreleased bonus tracks mixed by or featuring Kanye West, Akon, Will.I.Am and Jackson himself. Thriller was originally released November 30, 1982, and the new 25th Anniversary Edition, dropping February 12, will have eight extra cuts: a fresh Kanye remix of "Billie Jean"; Akon and Will.I.Am's new take on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' "; "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T." remixes by Will.I.Am; the rare unissued song "For All Time," a track from the original recording sessions that has been newly mixed and mastered by MJ; "Someone in the Dark"; "Carousel"; and the original "Billie Jean" demo.

The set will also house a DVD with Jackson's Thriller short films, which have been digitally remastered — "Thriller," "Beat It" and "Billie Jean" — as well as his Emmy-nominated performance of the latter song on 1983's "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" TV special. Lastly, it will also have an exclusive Jackson-penned greeting to his fans. While the Thriller deluxe edition doesn't drop until February, the Jackson action actually starts in December when he releases a new single and launches a new global-marketing campaign.......I know he misses his mom Donda so much but life has to go on.

Chris Brown denies relationship with Manager!

We hear Chris Brown's camp is denying reports from a popular Atlanta-based blogger that 18-year-old Chris Brown has been sexually intimate with his longtime manager, Tina Davis.

"The drama behind the scenes has become so disruptive that it threatens the start of the tour," blogger Sandra Rose wrote this week, referring to Brown's Up Close and Personal tour, scheduled to launch Dec. 6 in Cincinnati.

She continued: "My source tells me exclusively that Chris Brown has been intimate with his manager since she met him at the tender age of 16! And furthermore, he is 'madly in love with her' . . . apparently, Chris' mom Joyce recently became aware of the situation and is not at all happy."

"Normally I wouldn't report a story like this without solid proof," Rose wrote. "But my source is well-placed and very credible. This is the same source who gave me the scoop on Tameka Foster's pregnancy before anyone else reported it. I have learned never to doubt my source."

In denying the allegations, Brown's camp released the following statement:

"Chris Brown and his manager, Tina Davis have a strictly professional relationship. Ms. Davis has been instrumental in helping Chris achieve success as a multi-talented singer/dancer/actor. Rumors that the relationship goes beyond a working one, are not only patently false; they diminish her efforts and his undeniable talents."

Rapper Akon charged with endangering a minor!

Akon is facing criminal charges after a fan said she suffered a concussion when the hip-hop star tossed a teenager off the stage and onto her in the concert crowd. Akon, 34, is scheduled to appear in Fishkill Town, NY Court on Monday morning for arraignment on a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a minor, and second-degree harassment, a violation that could get him "LOCKED UP" just like his hit song!.

Evel Knievel settles with Kanye West, then dies days later!

Just days after Evel Knievel and Kanye West worked it out on the trademark damage suit, Knievel dies at the age of 69. Late last year Knievel sued West over the video “Touch the Sky” where West portrayed “Evel Kanyevel” and tried to jump a rocket-powered motorcycle over a canyon. Knievel failed to get a real rocket over the Snake River Canyon in Idaho in 1974. Knievel thought West’s stunt hurt his trademarked image and furthermore said the “vulgar and offensive” images damaged his reputation. He also accused the 29-year-old rapper of using the image to “promote his filth to the world.”

Beyonce to record Country album after that AMA performance.

From Nadine at AOL music comes word that it looks like Beyonce is crazy in love ... with country music. The diva recently performed a country version of 'Irreplaceable' with Sugarland, and has been so inspired by the genre that she enlisted the help of singer-songwriter Amanda Ghost to work on her next album.

"Beyonce wants to try something completely different," a source tells British newspaper The Sun. "She's a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her.

Nas enlist help of Diddy to finish controversial album.

Nas is still talking about his already controversial upcoming album, Nigger. The Queens MC told MTV News one of its tracks is called “Fear of the Black Man’s Dick” — though he’s quick to explain, “That’s some sh*t you can get comedy [from], or you can get some seriousness from it.” Diddy and Jermaine Dupri are coming in to help him finish the album, to help “get the shit all the way right.”

Rapper Ludacris to perform for World Aids Day today in South Africa.

My pal Rapper Ludacris and singer Corrine Bailey Rae are among those performing today at former South African president Nelson Mandela’s fifth “46664” AIDS benefit concert in Johannesburg, South Africa in recognition of World AIDS Day. The concert is named after the prison number Mandela was issued while incarcerated on Robben Island for 27 years.

Rapper Mannie Fresh's sister murdered!

Mannie Fresh Angela Bryant

This is so sad........Angela Bryant, who is the sister of local rap artist Mannie Fresh, was found in her home in the 1000 block of Farragut Street early Thursday morning shot to death while her small children were there.
"A 42-year-old mother of two young children was shot and killed late Wednesday night in her Algiers home while her kids were there. The children were not physically harmed, according to police."

Police said Bryant’s husband was out of town when she was killed, but he arrived at the scene before noon and was visibly upset. Carrie St. Cyr, the mother of the victim, told Eyewitness News Reporter Jill Hezeau that Bryant just got married in October. She said Wednesday was her birthday and the family had gone out to dinner to celebrate. Imagine being killed on your own birthday. VERY SAD!
