What #HNNAfrica readers want to ask @NGRPresident during the #PMBMediaChat? #HNNGov

Media preview

We asked our readers of world and health news what they wanted the Nigerian President to talk about during tonight's Presidential Media chat. Below are what our Facebook readers said. By the looks of those 6 chairs, I hear the Journalists invited are not even using social media. Most handles had less than 33 followers. Only Kayode Akintemi of Channels TV was the only one with a social media following. He leads the team of Journalists from daily Trust, NTA and VON.

Lota Ekpere Whats the implication of tactical defeat of boko haram. And his statememt on presiding over boko haram to accept amnesty while nnamdi kanu has been kept under confinement and refused bail even after court orders.

#Yorubas NEED TO STOP accusing #Igbos of Ritualism. 653 shares, 500 comments on FB #HNNImpact

Dear Yoruba fans. Pls.....stop disturbing my FB INBOX with tribalistic messages. All my messages are never private. I use them on my blog. Stop telling me to stop supporting the Igbos. U are not better than them. Quit inboxing me that Igbos are ritualists, criminals and 419 ppl. The first publicly executed armed robber in Nigeria was a yoruba man OYENUSI. I watched it #LIVE on TV on the bar beach show in the 70's. My hometown Ibadan is the lagest city in West Africa and pioneered everything. It also pioneered extreme ritualism as we discovered SOKA last year with a forest den of rituals and many rescued almost slaughtered next including one Igbo grandmom who was abducted in Ibadan as she arrived to visit her daughter 9 years ago as she went missing.

I also called my father and Obasanjo ritualists this year and exposed them. 2 of my siblings were taken to Ibefun, Ogun state where they bathe in human blood. One is already dead. They all exposed my dad's occult life and how he used them to gain power. All politicians are into this. My 10 chapter documentary is on Soundcloud.com/hnnafrica.#DaddyDearest. If I can expose my father u are no exception. Don't feed me crap about Igbos u dont do. Finally the three 419 boys that cracked Access Bank's ATM code and took N2B were one Hausa and 2 Yorubas. The hausa caught, the yorubas and the money never found. I hope I made my point CLEAR. Any comments that disrespects me on my page will add u to my ban list. Anyone banned this last week is not entering 2016 with me. Go to Twitter where I can MUTE your abusive tweets. Be careful what u inbox me. I post them on FB. I have some AWESOME yoruba fans here. I dont need the tribalists here.

@NemaNigeria #SNITCH tells me over 100 died in #NNewi and yet figures are still hidden by govt! #HNNEnvironment

God bless my people in #Nnewi. I need to know who lost loved ones. Too many pictures coming in my email. In America Chikasson would have been sued. I'm sure their liability insurance is huge. Damages have to be paid. Don't let the insurance companies get away with this. This is where the media comes in. We have to teach ppl how to file claims.

I need to know the victims. I need their stories. A queue of ppl lined up with their cylinders over there trying to buy gas so they could chop #Christmasday. Instead they were chopped by propane. Governor Obiano says there is a lot of security and Anambra is safe. Someone is lying to the governor.

CONTACT ME IF U KNOW ANY VICTIMS. VICTIMS ARE SURVIVING LOVED ONES TOO.

GRAPHIC: Why @PoliceNG must NOT dismiss MURDEROUS DRUNK officer Posthumously! #HNNCrime

PHOTO #HNNCrime. A drunk policeman shot these twin brothers and their pal to DEATH then killed himself. Why are our @policeng officers allowed to drink on the job? In Ibadan so many casually drink palmwine on their breaks and I meet so many in the liquor store in uniform buying alcohol. Now I hear they want to dismiss him posthumously and give him a name on social media. We don't even know the victims names and background but they were innocent!

TRULY SAD!

Ha! Ha! Why I'm so PROUD to be called a Canadian Deportee and the FAME that came with it #HNNTravel

To my mostly Yoruba haters. They call me Deportee the most. Im proud of it. I got DEPORTED from Canada for antagonizing gun laws. The same guns that may kill u one day in a mass shooting. Be educated. My deportation made me 100 times more famous, thrust me in the global public spotlight, was nominated into the Wikipedia encyclopedia in 14 categories. My deportation tweet interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper and the $36,000 Canada bribed me with to just leave were all awesome. The two MP's that fought for me Mike Sullivan NDP andJustin Trudeau Liberal were both snubbed by PMStephen Harper. Keep calling me deportee. Im loving it. I still have a country. On to the next country soon... #BIAFRA. By the way Justin became Prime Minister, Harper kicked out and Justin and I will be eating dinner together at Sussex ave soon when I go pay my courtesy visit. Trust me, my fave Nigerian media that promotes my work the most will be on that trip. The Punch Newspapers.

Meanwhile u are still calling me deportee when all yorubas DEPORTED from US, UK, CANADA, MALAYSIA, INDIA committed financial, drug and illegal immigration CRIMES.

My political deportation ROCKS!
Check out the other FAMOUS ppl kicked out of Cdn. One vowed he'll be back as leader of his country and he did come visit as the PM. Guess who and what country?

#Karma is a bitch Harper.

Why NOBODY knows how many children I really have?--Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo #HNNKids

Dear fans: I NEVER owe u an explanation for anything! My oldest child asked me to look at one Sunny Arinze's ignorant comment on my single and celibate post. I actually dont play with sex toys. I market them for a British company. I need the ££. It converts nicely to the naira. Ladies check out several sex shops in Ikeja and online. Bullet vibrators are awesome. They beat a man's dick per all my reviews. On the internet some say I have 4 sons for 4 fathers including Denrele Edun the 4th, sometimes 3 sons for 3 fathers. The truth is that NOBODY actually knows my children. Some even say I have twin daughters. I dont confirm nor deny it. Not even my family members have met ALL my children. I don't put my children out like that.

I still have a private life. Only KJ is known as he's a public figure. So I play along with all your foolishness. I live a public life, nobody knows my private life. Notice how Wikipedia doesnt have that section. My children are born to a very famous Nigerian you all know. Only if u were intelligent. Most Nigerians are smart but not intelligent. Some e en wonder how I had kids without ever being married. Ask TuFace and PSquare. The foolishness in Nigeria amazes me.

REASONS the Illiterate APC #Hausas had to SUSPEND Afro Senator Shehu Sanni #HNNPolitics

Senator Sani

Shehu Sanni remains one of the few active Senators still holding APC together. Now they shot themselves in the foot by suspending him. Look what I tweeted and the BS reasons below.

Tudun Wada APC in a letter addressed to Sani on December 27, which was signed by the secretary of the ward, Ahmed Abdulhamid, the Public Relations Officer, Auwal Mai Anguwa, and ex-officio member, Aminu Alilan, stated that the suspension would run for a period of 11 months and that, henceforth, “the senator is disengaged from partaking in or attending party activities in Kaduna State.”

In the letter, the party listed the offences of Sani aside choosing to remain confrontational with the state government and Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai to include, uttering statements that allegedly “violate the rules of engagement of the party, factionalizing the party, and engaging in anti-party activities by criticizing the policies of El-Rufai.”

“Hardly a week passes by that his group will not be on air criticising and challenging the enduring legacies of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, that his statement on national issues is not in conformity with that of the state government and government of Kaduna State,” it stated.

#BREAKING #Nnewi gas EXPLOSIONS may be a deliberate ARSON to KILL #Biafra ppl #HNNTerror

I'm sooo ANGRY! The world media are saying OVER 100 ppl were killed in the #NNEWI gas explosions. My #Biafra family DEAD FOR CHRISTMAS. King Buhari was silent! In a sane country, once again he would have addressed the nation. Almost 24 hours he releases a statement and once again not a tweet. The most useless government in the world has 3 VERIFIED twitter accounts for the Presidency and two have been ABANDONED with one not ever tweeting from the President himself. The Nigerian media so lax reporting 9 dead, 15 dead and all kinds of stupid numbers till the international media came up with over 100.

Finally, the foolish President said he was greatly shaken and shocked by such large-scale loss of human lives in a single industrial accident, which casts a gloom on the families of the victims “who were looking forward to a joyous Christmas celebration.” He is yet to say what he would be doing for the victims families and the area. People were burned beyond recognition. Many Igbos said the President didn't care as they were Christians. Does he even care if you were Muslims? Just two week ago over 300 Shiite Muslims were massacred in Zaria, Nigeria after a peaceful protest turned violent and army started shooting indiscriminately.

On the Nnewi explosion side, a source called me @HNNAfrica telling me that the gas plant was TORCHED deliberately! It was ARSON and here in Nigeria, an investigation has not been launched by the state or federal government. It could well be a TERROR ATTACK!  Nothing is investigated in Nigeria! Everyone is on holiday and most of the necessary forensics would have been damaged by now. It only takes one strike of a match at a propane gas plant to KILL a city. Nnewi is a famous town and home to late Biafran warlord Odumegwu Ojukwu and many prominent Eastern Nigerians.

#RIP to the fallen. They have names. We may never know who they were. Many burned beyond recognition.

How my son @IamswagKid was LOCKED up and trapped in school WITHOUT a communication device #HNNTech

Earlier this week, I had the major emergency. I was livid, frantic and scared when my 15-year-old son KJ, a social media guru since 6-years-old went missing after school here in Nigeria. This is the second time this has happened in his lifetime.

The first time it was in Canada when I sent him to buy some fast food at 12-years-old and he never returned for 7hours. The Toronto Police service began tracking him by tweeting his nickname with the hashtag #KayJeezy and putting his photo in the news. He was holding our joint ATM debit card for the purchase and looking at online banking records we tracked the purchase of food at 6.30pm. He left at 6.15pm and by 1am he was found asleep in the stairwell of my apartment building and had eaten the food. He was upset before he left home as we had an argument and said he wanted to run away. He was later counselled by the school psychologist on those feelings and he was OK. What happened this week in a Nigerian school will stun you.

KJ is more mature now and a teenager and has been briefed well about security problems in Nigeria including kidnappings. At 4pm when my son normally ends school and arrives by 4.30pm, he never showed up. By 5.45pm, I started to worry. At 6.15pm my son did not return home and I asked our driver that he should go over to the school to trace his steps. What happened next shocked me. He said KJ was LOCKED inside the private school building and the gates were also locked shut with everyone gone. It was now dusk. I called the Principal and her phone was turned off.

In Nigeria people may be charging their phones due to sporadic power outages or just switched it off for the day. However my child was in the school helpless and crying through thewindows pleading for help from the driver who couldn’t hear his voice as he was banging through glass from an upstairs building. KJ is asthmatic, didn’t have his inhaler in case of an emergency and no phone on him to call us or tweet us from his handle@Iamswagkid

When the driver came back, I decided to go to the police, something the principal asked me why I did? What else could I do? I spoke to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who had 4 armed officers escort me with their Hilux police truck as it was now dusk and darkness set in at 7.30pm. We met the Principal and Head Teacher who locks up at the end of the day both profusely apologizing to me. One of the officers demanded we all come to the station to see the DPO. It turned out that my son fell asleep while reading in class as it was after exams and students weren’t required to come. Other classes had students but not his class.

So when school closed, nobody knew he was actually in there. His teacher admitted a big mistake not checking KJ before locking up, something they call “clearing the building” in moderncountries. Last week a 13-year-old mentally handicapped girl was left overnight in a school in America. The teacher and Principal were fired by the school board. Most schools are public schools and parents could sue for millions.

What could KJ have done? Phones are banned in his school and was once seized from him. In America, phones are allowed but turned on only in emergencies or during recess. After the Columbine high school massacre in Colorado in the 90’s, I was one of the gun violence advocates that fought for the right to let the student have their cell phones to call parents or first responders.

Many of the students that got killed were in the cafeteria and library and could not get to the office for help when two of their classmates opened fire all over the school killing several. What would KJ have done with a phone? He said he would have tweeted me or called if he had credit on his line. Social media postings are also critical when you see your child tweeting or inboxing you on Facebook in an emergency. I could not imagine if he had an asthma attack or a fire broke out in the building. My child could have died in both circumstances but the school learned a valuable lesson here. I will petition for the use of a phone to be carried at all times by him and others. KJ normally walks home with classmates. They were absent that day due to exam breaks and optional attendance.

Follow @OperationChibok to learn that #BringBackOurGirls IS AN OUTRIGHT SCAM #HNNImpact

So where's the #ChibokGirls?  Nothing but a SCAM. I told u May 2014 after my interviews with several people in Maiduguri. Elements in the Nigerian opposition who promised to make the government ungovernable for President Goodluck Jonathan are the same ones in Government now. That was our President Buhari who was disgruntled about his 2011 election loss.

After the Abuja bombings on April 14th 2014, the students at Government secondary school in Chibok were evacuated by the military. They simply went home and the scam began, video frames of girls in hijabs in an outdoor setting with Boko Haram leader Shekau in another video frame, fake unreadable collages of missing girls. Two mums showing up at the President's villa to visit the wife of the President and VP and then there's Oby Ezekwesili the online campaign leader who now blocks anyone who dares asks her on twitter about the missing girls.

More @OperationChibok on twitter #BringBackOurGirl? There are no girls to be bought back. Initially on HNNAfrica's trip over there, I was told it was a child trafficking scam, something this Shekau character even said on his series of videos. Now even the female suicide bombers were not in the age range of these missing girls. My conclusion is that it was all a dream. A bad dream. I have hours and hours of a documentary that will still be uploaded. This very same video got viral on Facebook in my video section. Read the comments over there here. The same people attacking my report now think differently now.

Why I NO LONGER RETWEET anything on Twitter anymore #HNNTech

Whenever I saw that disclaimer on very prominent verified or unverified twitter handle, I cringe thinking it’s just a fake means of not acknowledging tweets. What is the liability of retweeting something on Twitter and not showing it to others as an endorsement? You agree with the tweet, you like what was written so why deny it as an endorsement or why you don’t just like it or as it’s called in the past “favourite” it.

Last week I faced the wrath of my Facebook fans when I began retweeting my Biafra fans on the hot subject of the protests going on along with the detention of Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the IPOB, Indigenous People of Biafra organization. With protests mounting and violence breaking out in Onitsha, my retweets became more intense on #HNNAfrica’s timeline.

One of those retweets appeared on my Facebook page which is synched from twitter as a large human penis which shocked my Facebook fans that I could resort to such an offensive post. Most retweets to Facebook are hardly seen with big number of comments but this one has 100 comments where fans disowned me , lashed out and more. It turned out that the avatar of a Twitter user is enlarged on a Facebook Retweet synched from twitter. Dick Supremacy is the owner of the avatar and seems that he runs erotic services. On the other hand, he is also a twitter troll that gets into interesting topics and discussions so I like his input.

I had to explain to my Facebook fans on how twitter works and the synch process. Many did not click the link to see that it actually went to a tweet by someone else. After verbally abusing me for hours, apologies started to pour in when another fan started to explain what twitter and Facebook sync does telling people that I had no control of anyone’s avatars. Eventually I told everyone that I will no longer synch their tweets to Facebook and thus cut their voices. Many were upset and this is the cause of illiteracy about twitter. Retweets are not endorsements but they are no longer retweeted to save my reputation.

#DrBuhari under CLOSE WATCH by Human Rights Groups as 300 bodies are deposited in #Zaria Morgues by ARMY #HNNGov

Zaria clash: 191 arraigned as HRW urges probe

The Kaduna State government yesterday said the state police command had released 83 people who were arrested during the recent clash between members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and the Nigerian Army in Zaria.

A statement from Samuel Aruwan, the media aide to the state governor, said 191 suspects had been arraigned in court over various offenses including obstruction of highways, possession of weapons and attacking security agents.
Those released include 34 juveniles and 49 women. Aruwan said the suspects had been remanded pending the conclusion of investigations which may lead to charges being filed at the state High Court or Federal High Court.

The government urged residents of Gyellesu in Zaria who fled their homes as a result of the incident to return home as security agencies had been permanently stationed in the area to provide security.
“Citizens whose belongings were abandoned on the streets, including vehicles, motorcycles and other property are advised to retrieve them upon identification and proof of ownership. Citizens running lawful businesses in the area are also advised to go about their normal businesses without any hindrance in accordance with the law,” the statement added.

It said all security agencies in the state had been briefed to ensure adequate security across the state for the Maulud, Christmas and New Year festivities.

Meanwhile, the Human Rights Watch said yesterday in a statement that the killing of the sect members was unjustified, and advised that the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the government should be sufficiently independent and impartial to hold those responsible to account.

The group said it interviewed 16 witnesses to the killings and five others, including local authorities who said security forces fired on members of the group at three locations in Zaria, killing. But the army said its confrontation with the sect members who had erected a roadblock near a mosque resulted from an assassination attempt on the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, whose convoy was passing through the procession route. In an internal military document seen by Human Rights Watch, the army said protesters appeared to be taking up positions near the back of the convoy, but the group disputed the claim.
It said lists compiled by sect members from the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital records showed that between December 13 and 15, soldiers deposited more than 300 bodies at the hospital’s four morgues.

Nigerian #Muslims Preaching UNITY at #Christmas better remember Madalla 2011 #HNNTerror

I remember being woken up by CTV news that Muslim terrorists Boko haram just bombed two churches simultaneously in Madalla near Jos ON CHRISTMAS DAY 2011. I was in Canada and 6 hours behind in time when I heard this tragedy.

As Christians traditionally celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25, the Muslims mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad on December 24, this year being the 12th day of Rabiul Awwal. They call theirs Eid-El Maulud. As Muslims celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammed today, President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and the Sultan of Sokoto have called for more understanding, unity and love among Nigerians to move the nation forward.

Kanu: Ex-APGA chair blasts S-East NASS members for keeping quiet #MadamKOOBiafra

Of course they will keep quiet. They don't want Nigeria dividing as they want their salaries, big cars and houses.
The immediate-past National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and senatorial candidate of APGA in the forthcoming re-run election in the Anambra Central Senatorial zone, Chief Victor Umeh, has blamed all the National Assembly members from the South-East geo-political zone for keeping silent.

Speaking to Vanguard, Umeh lampooned the lawmakers of South-Eastern extraction, noting that in the face of Biafra’s agitation, “Our National Assembly members should have advised the Federal Government to release Nnamdi Kanu first and then intervene in the dispute to ensure that frayed nerves are calmed on the issue, instead of keeping silent while the agitation is escalating.”

Why Nigerians are BRAINWASHED that I have an Outstanding Criminal record in the USA #HNNOpinion

First you have trolls. Then they talk to each other. Shawn McQuaid (Google this nonentity who sits on the internet 24/7 collecting money from the government from his brain disability) is a Canadian stalker completely sick and obsessed with me. Has been arrested several times in Canada for criminal harassment and still stalks me in Nigeria via twitter. He's altered my Wikipedia adding that I have criminal charges in Georgia, USA where I live and has not bother to call the authorities there to verify. Wikipedia blocked him from editing and LOCKED my profile. He even takes screenshots of G-Mail messages of an alleged criminal record of mine  in Maryland (another state in the USA) with my age and my middle name as "Ashley". My middle name which I rarely use is Ajoke and not Ashley.

I have not lived in Maryland since 2000. So everyone that criticizes my tweet, he tweets them this criminal record. Can you imagine someone sitting 24 hours watching your tweets in a different time zone at least when I was in Nigeria?  Twitter is watching his handle closely with police. One day it will vanish. Many are reporting him. However several Nigerians believe him and that is because Nigerians are brainwashed, they never research and most are illiterates. Then they frown at me.

I have written about McQuaid in the Nigerian Tribune and Social media article. I tagged it to one of the Canadian police officers Scott Mills who read it. Below are the tweets. Obsession is a disease. The arresting officer in 2011 told me I was one out of Shawn's 9 victims. Another victim was called a pedophile and Shawn blogged it and then tells people to Google the man. Same thing with me. He told Nigerians I had 4 children with 4 men, I don't even have 4 children. He also says I am unemployed and can't travel anywhere when I've actually visited Canada while he wasn't paying attention. One other woman was the mom  of a boy who died in a crash. Shawn blamed her and said she was alcoholic and posted this poor boy's head photoshopped under a car. The woman was not even the cause of the accident but another driver. He has also photoshopped my Pharmacist license which is public information on the board's website writing the word "REVOKED" on it and posting that I poisoned children. One of the brainwashed tacky bloggers that tweets this stuff is Tokunbo Aboderin the Irish based prostitute and ritualist.  Check out the tweets below and read my latest article on Shawn McQuaid.

MORONIC #GENOCIDAL Leader Yakubu Gowon says #Biafra is FINISHED! #MadamKOOBiafra

Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, has dismissed threat of Nigeria’s unity as he also said that with Biafra it is finished. General Yakubu Gowon made this statement recently in reaction to the resent protests by some youths. This moronic genocidal leaders better wake up as there is a revolution looming.

He said that Nigerians have put behind them the bad memories of the 1967 civil war, and that those behind these protests on Biafra don’t have an inkling what the Biafra war cost Nigerians. Gowon caused most of these bad memories and living in denial.

The elder statesman speaking in Lafia, the Nasarwa State capital shortly after a malaria eradication campaign questioned that ‘do they want us to go to another war? but hoped and I prayed to God that such should not happen.’

He went further to say that those involved in this campaign were being driven by just a few people and that majority of the Igbo people do not share the same view.

‘It is only them, the few, that are there but the majority of the Igbo people that I know are not with them’

Acceding to the fact that the protesters have the right to express their feelings he stated “with Biafra it is finished”.

He said these people ‘let them say their views, yes it democracy but let s make sure they can express their wishes and desires but let them remember with Biafra it is finished. it is not a threat’

He further said that keeping Nigeria one was behind all that he did and not for hatred for the Igbo as that was what Odumegwu Ojukwu also stood for.

All I did is not a result of hatred against the Igbos but on the principle of keeping Nigeria one and this is all we are trying to do and that was why at the end of the war in other to see that there is no heard feeling we used the term no victor no vanquished

I have said if there is anything of this sort anywhere in any part of the country just like the problem of Boko Haram we should deal with it, Nigeria should deal with it in matured way .

Meet #NnamdiKanu's MOTHER Mrs Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu, a determined mother #MadamKOOBiafra

Here is a picture on Nnamdi Kanu's mom Mrs Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu in the white hat at one of the IPOB rallies. As a mother I believe in what my children believe. Some of you are different. My sons do not discriminate against gays and lesbians as some of you went off at their opinions last year on Facebook. They are part of their American society.

Nnamdi's mom believes in the separatist group IPOB. So who is anyone to speak out and say no to her views? She supports her son. Unlike here in Yorubaland some mothers will be so scared of the feds, they will tell their sons to stop the activism to get Biafra. Meanwhile some Yoruba cowards come asking me to be their voice of Oduduwa. What a strong woman.

#NnamdiKanu will rather STAY IN PRISON than subject himself to a SHADY, FRAUD TRIAL #MadamKOOBiafra

His words : "I will not sacrifice the due process of the law founded in the principles of natural justice upon the altar of speedy release from detention. In other words I will rather remain in detention than subjecting myself to a trial that I know amounts to perversion of justice.

"Previous court judgments and rulings have been delivered by competent court of laws in Nigeria in my favour which the Department of the State Security Service failed to obey or implement. On that premise, I am not ready to stand before this court for trial because I am convinced that the outcome will go the way of the previous ones. Therefore, I have chosen to remain in custody until justice prevails in my matter in the interest of justice"

This case is complete injustice

Judge QUITS as FRAUDULENT SSS Disobeys the Judiciary in releasing #NnamdiKanu #MadamKOOBiafra

Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Abuja has refused to hear the Nnamdi Kanu case that was assigned to him on the grounds that the executive and the security agencies no longer abide by court orders and rulings. He excused himself from the case. Kanu's charges were dropped and was freed but powerful forces above the DSS aka #DrBuhari's government has filed new charges this judge refuses to hear.

Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, on Wednesday at the Federal High Court, Abuja Division refused to enter a plea on a six-count charge of terrorism on the ground that he will not be given a fair trial.

Kanu was brought before Justice Ahmed Mohammed on charges of treason, importation of illegal goods and possession of fire arms preferred against him by the Department of State Security (DSS).

Kanu, docked alongside Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwabuisi expressed his lack of confidence in the trial judge, owing to information available to him

In his reaction, Counsel for the Federal Government, Mr. Mohammed Diri prayed Justice Mohammed to reject the claim of the Biafra leader on the ground that he cannot dictate to the court.

He said that the accused if has any objection to his trial should bring an application to the court stating his grievances with exhibits in clear terms stating why he should not be tried by a particular court.

Diri who is the Director, Public Prosecution of the Federation, sited section 396 (2) of the administration of criminal justice act 2015 adding that under the act, an objection to trial can only be raised by the accused when the plea has been taken and not before as been done by the accused person here.

He therefore prayed the court to compelled the accused who was already in the dock to take his plea.

But counsel to Kanu, Mr. Vincent Egechukwu Obetta informed the court that the accused has the fundamental right to object to his trial by the Judge and pleaded with the court to grant him his request.

In his ruling, justice Mohammed agreed that accused person has the right to object to his trial before his court on the ground that justice is rooted on confidence and rejected the submission of government's counsel.

The judge therefore ordered that case file be returned to the chief Judge of the Federal High Court so that it can be re assigned to another judge and for further action.

Kanu had earlier been granted unconditional release by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal high Court, Abuja Division, from the custody of the SSS but the order was not obeyed and instead a fresh charge was brought against him by the government.

#OromoProtests in Ethopia getting WORLDWIDE attention than #Biafra Protest #MadamKOOBiafra

PLS READ IF YOU ARE A BIAFRAN OR SHIITE MUSLIM IN NIGERIA COS ALL OTHER NIGERIANS DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. WE WILL SPRING INTO ACTION IN 2016. ITS HAPPENING ALL OVER AFRICA. I AM WRTING TO HRW AS WE SPEAK.

Do we need more activists in Nigeria? The answer is yes! I don't see any Igbo women out there speaking out. Some Igbos say they are not part of Biafra. Politicians backing away and a revolution is clearly visible
(Nairobi) – Ethiopian security forces have killed dozens of protesters since November 12, 2015, in Oromia regional state, according to reports from the region. The security forces should stop using excessive lethal force against protesters.

‪#‎OromoProtests‬ Protesters in Oromia region, Ethiopia, December 2015.
Police and military forces have fired on demonstrations, killing at least 75 protesters and wounding many others, according to activists. Government officials have acknowledged only five deaths and said that an undisclosed number of security force members have also been killed. On December 15, the government announced that protesters had a “direct connection with forces that have taken missions from foreign terrorist groups” and that Ethiopia’s Anti-Terrorism Task Force will lead the response.

“The Ethiopian government’s response to the Oromia protests has resulted in scores dead and a rapidly rising risk of greater bloodshed,” said Leslie Lefkow, deputy Africa director at Human Rights Watch. “The government’s labelling of largely peaceful protesters as ‘terrorists’ and deploying military forces is a very dangerous escalation of this volatile situation.”

Protests by students began in Ginchi, a small town 80 kilometers southwest of Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, when authorities sought to clear a forest for an investment project. Protests quickly spread throughout the Oromia region, home of Ethiopia’s estimated 35 million Oromo, the country’s largest ethnic group.

They evolved into larger demonstrations against the proposed expansion of the Addis Ababa municipal boundary, known as the “Addis Ababa Integrated Development Master Plan.” Approximately 2 million people live in the area of the proposed boundary expansion and many protesters fear the plan could displace Oromo farmers and residents living near the city.

Since mid-November, the protesting students have been joined by farmers and other residents. Human Rights Watch received credible reports that security forces shot dozens of protesters in Shewa and Wollega zones, west of Addis Ababa, in early December. Several people described seeing security forces in the town of Walliso, 100 kilometers southwest of Addis Ababa, shoot into crowds of protesters in December, leaving bodies lying in the street.

Numerous witnesses told Human Rights Watch that security forces beat and arrested protesters, often directly from their homes at night. Others described several locations as “very tense” with heavy military presence and “many, many arrests.” One student who took part in protests in West Shewa said, “I don’t know where any of my friends are. They have disappeared after the protest. Their families say they were taken by the police.”

Local residents in several areas told Human Rights Watch that protesters took over some local government buildings after government officials abandoned them. Protesters have also set up roadblocks to prevent the movement of military units into communities. Some foreign-owned commercial farms were looted and destroyed near Debre Zeit, 50 kilometers southeast of Addis Ababa, news media reported.

Human Rights Watch has not been able to corroborate the precise death toll and many of the details of individual incidents because of limited independent access and restricted communications with affected areas. There have also been unconfirmed reports of arrests of health workers, teachers, and others who have publicly shown support for the protest movement through photos and messages on social media.

The United Nations Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms by Law Enforcement Officials provide that security forces shall as far as possible apply nonviolent means before resorting to the use of force. Whenever the lawful use of force is unavoidable, the authorities should use restraint and act in proportion to the seriousness of the offense. Lethal force may only be used when strictly unavoidable to protect life.

The Ethiopian government should respect freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, Human Rights Watch said. While police have the responsibility to maintain order during protests, they should only use force when strictly necessary and in a proportionate manner.

Ethiopia’s government regularly accuses people who express even mild criticism of government policy of association with terrorism. Dozens of journalists, bloggers, protesters, and activists have been prosecuted under the country’s draconian 2009 Anti-Terrorism Proclamation.

On December 16, 2015, Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said that the government “will take merciless legitimate action against any force bent on destabilizing the area.” The same day, Getachew Reda, the government communication affairs office minister, said that “an organized and armed terrorist force aiming to create havoc and chaos have begun murdering model farmers, public leaders and other ethnic groups residing in the region.” While there have been some recent reports of violence by protesters, according to information obtained by Human Rights Watch, the protests have overwhelmingly been peaceful.

Ethiopia’s pervasive restrictions on independent civil society and media mean that very little information is coming from affected areas although social media are filled with photos and videos of the protests. Authorities have cut mobile phone coverage in some of the key areas, particularly areas where there is significant military deployment, raising concerns over the potential crackdown. In communities where there is m

obile phone coverage, witnesses reported repeated gunfire and a heavy military presence.

The authorities’ response to past protests in Oromia raises serious concerns for the safety of protesters and others arrested, Human Rights Watch said. In Oromia in April and May 2014, security forces used live ammunition against largely peaceful student protesters, killing several dozen people, and arrested hundreds more. Some of those arrested are still detained without charge. Former detainees told Human Rights Watch that they were tortured and otherwise ill-treated in detention. On December 2, 2015, five Oromo students were convicted under the counterterrorism law for their role in the protest movement. There has been no government investigation into the use of excessive force and live ammunition during the 2014 protests.

While both the 2014 and current protests are ostensibly responding to the Addis Ababa expansion plan, they also derive from deeper grievances, Human Rights Watch said. Many Oromos have historically felt marginalized and discriminated against by successive Ethiopian governments, and Oromos are often arbitrarily arrested and accused of belonging to the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), which waged armed struggle in the past and which the government designates a terrorist organization.

Under the UN Basic Principles on the Use of Force and Firearms, in cases of death or serious injury, appropriate agencies are to conduct a review and a detailed report is to be sent promptly to the competent administrative or prosecutorial authorities. The government should ensure that arbitrary or abusive use of force and firearms by law enforcement officials is punished as a criminal offense. Superior officers should be held responsible if they knew or should have known that personnel under their command resorted to the unlawful use of force and firearms but did not take all measures in their power to prevent, suppress, or report such use.

The Ethiopian government should support prompt, independent investigations into the events in Oromia region, including by UN and African Union (AU) human rights experts on freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association. Governments and intergovernmental organizations, including the AU, should raise concerns about the excessive use of force against protesters and call on Ethiopia to respect fundamental human rights in its response to the protests, Human Rights Watch said.

“Ethiopia’s security forces seem to have learned nothing from last year’s protests, and, instead of trying to address the grievances that are catalyzing the protests, are shooting down more protesters,” Lefkow said. “Concerned governments and institutions should call on Ethiopia to halt its excessive use of force and stop this spiral into further violence.”

Pinterest is a pinning app on social media and most Nigerians are not familiar with it yet. My business account was opened in 2011 and now I have a Biafra board. I rent some boards to companies and individuals to promote their stuff. Contact me if you are interested.

I will be very busy on Pinterest and Instagram in 2015 rather than twitter and Facebook but will feed my work over there. Check out the Biafra stories and tweets and Follow that board. You can also share posts from there. Try it and follow he board here.

Why I DECLINED the Social Media Change Agents dinner invite--Kemi Olunloyo #HNNImpact

Media preview

I have never heard anything about Aisha Buhari activating. We are listed together in Wikipedia. What silent activists will sit down and watch their husband, the President of Africa's most populous nation let his army kill innocent Biafran and Shiite protesters? Last night she was busy hosting the Social Media Change Agents dinner in Aso Rock with public funds. Who are these people? People who are creating change in Nigeria using social media.

I was invited by her but I declined for two reasons. This was an APC event and I have no affiliation with any political party. Also I don't wanna be seen alongside Aisha Buhari in the light of the direction her husband is leading this country killing the very people we activists represent. She needs to call my father who's a member of their party. NOT ME! I tweeted to my fans below.
