The historical Soul Train Music Awards have been cancelled for 2008. No official reason was given but producers cited how several nominees and winners did not even show up last year. An industry insider told me some black celebs only want to identify with the mainstream award shows but most importantly all that violence 11 years ago outside when Christopher Wallace (B.I.G) was shot and killed.
