Atlanta's hit songwriter Adonis Shropshire penned three songs on Mariah Carey's # 1 album "E=MC2". "E=MC2" (Released on April 15) cracked the top of Billboard's Top 200, and R&B/Hip-Hop charts with 475,000 copies moved in it's first week of release. Adonis wrote the melodic ballads "I Stay In Love" and "For The Record"("For The Record" is featured in Mariah's commercial for her debut fragrance "M") also, the bass thumping "4 Real, 4 Real" featuring Da Brat. "I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to write for Mariah's new album! Mariah is a true professional. She is one of the top female vocalist of all time," states Adonis. On "E=MC2", Adonis collaborated with superstar producers Bryan-Michael Cox, Wyldcard and Kendrick Dean. Previously, Adonis wrote massive #1 hits for such superstars like Usher (Grammy winning "My Boo" featuring Alicia Keys), Beyonce ("Summertime"), Ciara ("And I"),Chris Brown ("Say Goodbye"),and other numerous artists J Lo, Jay Z, B2K, Diddy, Enrique Iglesias, and Boys II Men. Adonis' song-writing achievements has generated sales over 80 million albums worldwide.
Be on look out for more hits and collaborations from Adonis. Currently, Adonis is in the studio creating hits for Nicole Scherzinger, Brandy, Monica, Keri Hilson, and Lloyd. In additon, Adonis is currently in the studio with his new female R&B trio Melrose. "Melrose is incredibly gifted and charismatic, they have tremendous potential to break nationwide and become stars on the level of other major female recording artists. I am taking my time with Melrose. I want make sure every detail is perfect," states Adonis. By the sound of Adonis' latest projects, Adonis has elevated to a new musical plateau.
