R.I.P June Pointer 1953-April 11th 2006.

We also remember June Pointer, the founding member of the "Pointer Sisters." They gave us the top R&B hits in the 70's and 80's. June passed away at on April 11, 2006 at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California from bone cancer, liver cancer, and lung cancer. She died in the arms of her older sisters and brothers Ruth, Anita, Aaron, and Fritz. She was just 52 years old and was actually the youngest member of the "Pointer Sisters". I found the PEOPLE magazine article when she passed away.
