ended after just 72 days.The socialite will file for divorce on Monday, just two days after she attended a Halloween party in New York without her husband Kris Humphries, who she wed in August.Ryan Seacrest, the producer of the Kardashian family's many reality TV shows, confirms on Twitter.com, "Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her."The lavish nuptials, costing an estimated $10 million, were captured on camera for an E! TV special, which debuted earlier this month.
Kardashian is citing "irreconcilable differences" for the split, and she has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her in court, according to TMZ.com.The couple has a prenuptial agreement. She releases a statement below.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
