So what did you think? With that being said,
Roderick Anson is a Canadian rapper, performer, recording artist and entrepreneur. Better known by his stage name of D’NME, he is highly driven to re-invent the modern Hip Hop movement. Using variances of rapid and aggressive rapping styles, D’NME utilizes multi-syllable rhymes assembled to hit the pocket of the beat. His distinguished rapping style, comes from a wide spectrum of guidance that range from 2PAC to Jay-Z, to Foxy Brown and Snoop Dogg, while his musical influences range from genres such as Rock, Punk Rock, Country, Grunge and R&B. Because of this plethora of influence, D’NME has created an unparalleled Hip Hop presence.
D’NME has gained praise and built a name for himself within the Toronto and Winnipeg regions for his unique and passionate delivery in the local Battle and Freestyle circuit. D’NME constantly seeks out inspiration by attending major Hip Hop events such as The Coast to Coast Mixtape convention, and is consistently hard at work in the studio creating new material.
So I talked to him earlier this week and he told me everything I wanted to know about his style. First he sent me this HOT track featuring Dwaine, another music sensation from Toronto. He raps on this R&B track with Dwaine called "Bitter Sweet" which is right here on Soundcloud. Listening to this is a MUST!
So his music player came my way and I started listening...
- DNME featuring King Klutch, Jae Vell, Kirsten Rea-Can't Nobody Do it My Way
This song is fused well with the right voices and beats. I haven't heard anything like this. I would love to hear this song LIVE!
- D'NME - 'Bad Bitch' Feat King Klutch
This song is the epitome of good rap music. Didn't hear the "bitch" part which means this is the radio edit. "Bad Bitch" has the right electronic beats and best of all how it ends rocks. The Phasing out is awesome!
- D'NME - 'The Stars' (Prod by Gino Colletti)
- D'NME - Insinuate - Feat. C-Dawg & King Klutch
Great Southern drums aka 404's in this song and most def the rapping is a perfect 10. THE END!
- D'NME - Look At Me Now Freestyle - DJ DRAMA VERSION
This is so funny the way it cuts off. If you can rap to "Look at me now" you can rap well. I gotta get KJ in the studio with D'NME for a collab! That's his fave song.
- D'NME - Against The Wall Feat. K.D.B
The anger management song I call it. LOL! Clearly you can hear the lyrics well in this track. The music has taken over the track and what DNME does is not make the same mistake many rappers do. Let the song drown the lyrics. Here we clearly hear him and K.D.B as clear as an owl at night.
- D'NME - Put It On Me
This song is a smooth rap song where the woman singing in the background is begging for some super sexy favors. It's explicit and HOT. He raps it out and tells the truth about the actions in the bedroom. Fun song!
