Can Nigerian musicians sing? Since I live in Nigeria now--Which is my country, I have not been excited about our own artists. Everyone seems to be autotuned! As a global Music Journalist and Executive, It is a nightmare! Do you think Nigerian artists have talent? I asked Don Jazzy, the leading Producer in the Nigerian music industry and possibly the guy with the finger that presses the vocoder button the most. He said it was better than not even trying at all. I get scared to even turn on MTV Africa . Channel O, Trace or Soundcity. This is a bad trend. Where are the real singers?The worst part of this is that the fans seem to love it and wonder why they are not soaring to the global industry.
