In a recent interview with XXLmag.com, Ross claimed he was nearing release but had yet to hear from Diddy about where he stands with Bad Boy.
He tells the magazine, "I haven't heard from these dudes; they might've took me off the Bad Boy website or whatever but I haven't heard from anyone telling me what the deal is. "So until I get a piece of paper saying that I'm no longer a Bad Boy artist, I'm still reppin’ that flag. I'm a team player man." An official release date has yet to be set, but the rapper insists, "Right now I'm looking at like, 90 days before I touch the streets."
Black Rob has been linked to Bad Boy Records since 1996, and appeared on various remixes and collaborations with other artists on the label, including Faith Evans and Notorious B.I.G. He also released two albums, 2000's Life Story and 2005's Black Rob Report, before he was arrested for the burglary.
Arrested for burglary? OMG! I had no idea Black Rob was in jail. That is when I moved to Africa. 2006.
