JERMAINE JACKSON SANG FOR MICHAEL AT IIFA AWARDS LAST NITE.


The Indian film industry Oscars are in Toronto this weekend. Jermaine Jackson says he's had an emotional week as the second anniversary of his brother's death approaches.The former Jackson 5 member is in Toronto to perform in a tribute to his superstar sibling at IIFA Rocks. It's one of the marquee events at the International Indian Film Academy celebrations in Toronto this weekend.

Jackson was set to take the stage Friday to sing several songs including "Scream" and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'". Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 at age 50, just as he was set to launch a comeback tour. Jackson says it's important to him to keep his brother's music and legacy alive."It's very emotional, this whole week has been because what comes back to mind is when we were young and we were on tour with the Jackson 5 and doing our thing," Jackson said on the red carpet before the show started."

He had the most wonderful smile and we're going to continue to keep his music alive and his legacy and the message which was: Let's bring awareness to the less fortunate in the world and the planet. That's the most important to him and that was the most important to the whole Jackson family."
