CONGRATS: TARA-JEAN WINS SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA!!!

Canada has watched her Jive, Salsa, Quick Step, Rumba, Mambo and Hustle to the top and following tonight’s gripping SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA second season finale, CTV congratulates TARA-JEAN Popowich, on becoming Canada’s Favourite Dancer. Host Leah Miller announced live that TARA-JEAN, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Lethbridge, AB received the majority of close to three million votes cast during the countrywide poll on Tuesday night and therefore claims the title of Canada’s Favourite Dancer and the grand prize of $100,000 as well as the keys to a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 Sport.

Fellow Top 4 finalist VINCENT Desjardins, 20, a Ballroom dancer from Trois-Rivières, QB, was declared the runner-up and also receives the keys to his very own 2010 Mazda 3 Sport. TARA-JEAN and VINCENT along with fellow Top 4 Finalists EVERETT Smith, 25, a Tap dancer from Glen Morris, ON., JAYME RAE Dailey, 21, a Contemporary dancer from Montreal, QB., and the remaining dancers from the Top 20, all took to the stage during the two-hour live extravaganza broadcast on CTV.

TARA-JEAN has been winning Canada’s hearts and votes since her audition in Saint John, NB., earlier this spring. During her time on the show, TARA-JEAN has demonstrated her versatility on stage tackling everything from Contemporary to House to Samba with the same dedication, skill and flare for performance. Best known for her determination, gracious demeanour, hard work and perseverance, TARA-JEAN has been praised by the judges for being a true performer and an inspiration to dancers everywhere. During the Top 4 performance show, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Judge Blake McGrath comments to TARA-JEAN foreshadowed the big win when he said, “There’s something very, very important you need in this competition to win. It’s called star quality, and baby you have it!”

IS STEVIE WONDER REALLY BLIND? (KEEP THE HATE MAIL)

http://thebloodofjesus.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/stevie_wonder.jpg

Blind soul superstar STEVIE WONDER is in talks to dance with the stars! The Sir Duke hit maker has been approached to become the first blind celebrity to take part in hit TV show Dancing With The Stars - and he's seriously considering the idea.

Speaking to Los Angeles DJ Valentine on Wednesday (10Dec08), Wonder said, "It's not impossible but right now it's just a thought... I think it would be fun." And he insisted he's got some great moves: "I have seven children, I've gotta be able to dance, right."

Some of the alleged biggest scams in history include...Magic Johnson did not have HIV, Monica Lewinsky was piloting the first 911 plane etc. Is this one of them? How do you approach a blind celebrity? The show producers should be FIRED!

OLD LADY LEACHMAN BOOTED FROM DANCING SHOW!

Image provided by ABC-TV shows from left: Tom Bergeron, Samantha Harris, Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas. Leachman's silly antics are over on "Dancing with the Stars." The outspoken actress and her professional partner, Corky Ballas, were eliminated Tuesday Oct. 28, 2008 from ABC's popular dancing competition. The pair received the judges' lowest score _ 15 out of 30 _ for their cha-cha routine Monday. After viewer votes were combined with the judges' scores, the competition's oldest _ and most spontaneous _ performer was sent home. Oscar winner CLORIS LEACHMAN's Broadway career has been boosted by her appearance on hit U.S. reality show DANCING WITH THE STARS - producers have reportedly reconsidered her for a role she was rejected for last year (07). The 82-year-old star admitted she was "heartbroken" when she was turned down to reprise her role on hit Broadway show Young Frankenstein - the character she portrayed in the hit 1974 movie - due to fears over her age.

Producer Mel Brooks told Variety magazine at the time: "We're afraid the show... could kill (Leachman)... We don't want her to die onstage." Leachman was booted from Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday (28Oct08) after weeks of rigorous training in ballroom and Latin dance.
But Brooks has reportedly changed his mind despite her dismissal, impressed by the star's stamina in the demanding numbers.

According to Broadway gossip site Billymasters.com: "Mel has reached out to Leachman to see if they could make a deal - which I'm sure has nothing to do with the show's somewhat soft box office." A spokesperson for Leachman tells the New York Post: "Cloris has received several interesting offers. We cannot confirm that Young Frankenstein is one of them. For the time being, Cloris is focusing all her attention on dancing."

TONI BRAXTON'S GLAD THAT SHE WAS BOOTED FROM DANCING WITH THE STARS!

Grammy Award-winning singer TONI BRAXTON is quietly glad her stint on U.S. reality TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS has come to an end - because she was struggling to cope with the demands of the program. The Unbreak My Heart hitmaker, who suffers from heart and respiratory issues, was voted off the hit show on Tuesday night (21Oct08), despite scoring a respectable 22 out of 30 from the show's judges.

But Braxton has hinted that producers, who feared for her health, may have had the last word when it came to who should be ejected. She says, "The show you see... we do it earlier (and) I was getting chronically fatigued and I think the judges and the producers knew that. "(I have) microvascular angina and it falls under the umbrella of a heart attack... like, 27 per cent of my heart doesn't get enough oxygen... I have a tightness (on the show) sometimes... I'm always sitting there, smiling and trying to dance." But, given the chance, Braxton wouldn't hesitate to return to the dancing show - because her fancy footwork has helped her strengthen her weak heart.

She explains, "My heart is much healthier. When I started at the beginning of the competition, I remember breathing (heavily), but now my breathing is more controlled. Dancing is good for the heart." Braxton admits she had to fight with her doctors to appear on the show in the first place, just three months after a major health scare landed her in hospital. She adds, "The doctors all got together in a room - but they said it could be a good thing, and if you don't feel well, drop out.
"I have to be honest. This show has made me feel so much better. It's healing my heart."

THE CARRIBEAN CULTURE GONE BAD!

Yep, you can send the hate mail like I always say, that is why Mr Computer invented the delete button. At this Jamaican birthday party, you can see a little girl grinding her ass with a little boy in a doggie style manner. The grown ups are cheering them on. Absolutely assinine! These dances are common at carribean festivals and parties and the kids see so much of it and perform it themselves.

IS TONY BRAXTON GOING ON DANCING WITH THE STARS?

Toni Braxton and Kim Kardashian are reportedly set to appear in the new series of US TV talent show 'Dancing with the Stars'. The 'Unbreak My Heart' singer and the curvy socialite are two of the celebrities who will be testing their skills on the dancefloor when the fourth season of the show begins on September 22. A show insider told In Touch Weekly magazine: "The cast is eclectic and diverse - we've got young, old, gay, straight, dance professionals and people who've never danced before. "Some of the cast are already starting to work out and train, even though they won't meet their dance partners for a few more weeks. It's shaping up to be the most fun season yet!" When rumours first emerged of Kim taking part in the show, the 27-year-old beauty said: "I don't know where the rumours are coming from, I can't really comment on that. But I would be honoured if they asked me."

The show will be Toni's first job since she was forced to cancel a string of Las Vegas shows earlier this year after being hospitalised with chest pains. While the exact cause of Toni's hospitalisation was not revealed, the 40-year-old Grammy award winner has previously suffered from Pericarditis - a viral inflammation of the heart. The official line-up for the 'Dancing with the Stars' will be announced on US TV show 'Good Morning America' on August 25.

I thought this girl had a fatal heart condition. Be careful on the dance floor Toni! Mmmm....that Grammy dress that got us all talking in the 90's.

CHRIS BROWN TO PRESENT REALITY DANCE SHOW.

R&B star CHRIS BROWN is set to enter the reality TV industry by launching his own dance competition series. The Kiss Kiss hitmaker frequently shows off his fancy footwork in his music videos and live performances, and now he is to give wannabe dancers a chance to strut their stuff on his forthcoming show. The currently untitled project, which will focus on hip-hop and street dance culture, will see contestants go up against one another in a variety of dance-offs, with Brown choosing the winner of each round.

Speaking of the program, Brown says, "Dancing is more than just a way of moving, it's a different expression of music. That's what I want to focus on with this show." Reality TV guru Mark Burnett and his business partner J.D. Roth will produce the programme, which is due to be pitched to TV networks next week, reports Variety.com.

That's what I'm talking about Chris Breezy! All I wanna see next season is Chris Brown dancing with Beyonce on "Dancing With The Stars." Above is Breezy in my country Nigeria last week at the ThisDay Music Fest doing some upside down moves.
