THE SPICE GIRLS COMING UP WITH THEIR OWN REALITY SHOW.

The Spice Girls are all set to give competition to Simon Cowell and Andrew Lloyd Webber, for they're about to launch a TV reality talent show which would select young girls for a musical based on themselves.

Melanie Brown has been hinting that the gang will get back together for a few weeks, as they plan to step into television.

They are planning a 'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria'-style show to help find versions of themselves for a Spice Girls musical.

The project would not only be lucrative, but would also offer all the yummy mummies a respite from travelling.

"Family commitments" was one of the reasons they cut short their reunion tour in 2007-08.

The idea for the new show is to audition girls to play Sporty, Scary, Ginger, Posh and Baby in the West End production.

And the real Spice ladies - Melanie Chisholm, Brown, Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton - will sit on the panel, pass judgement and give advice to their new counterparts.

The band's former manager Simon Fuller, who owns the rights to the "Idol" concept, is helping with the idea.

"This is an idea which appeals to all of the original members," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

"It's a fantastic new way to broaden out the Spice franchise and cash in on their personalities, their story and their songs.

"The girls would have to work intensely on a TV show for a short period of time.

"But they then launch a musical which could run for months or even years. It will take on a life of its own.

"The concept could even be replicated in other countries. The sky is the limit with this one," added the source.
