#Toronto Councillors Agree to a 1.3% #Tax hike.

Toronto city council have climbed on board the Scarborough subway for good.

Council voted 24 to 20 to push ahead with an extension of the Bloor-Danforth line into Scarborough rather than the LRT.

Councillors also agreed to a 1.6% tax hike phased in over three years to help raise cash to fund the city's $910-million portion of the subway cost.http://ow.ly/pCYX8
