In 2011, the Nigerian High commissioner in Kenya and Seychelles, Dr. Chijioke Wilcox Wigwe beats his wife nearly to death, because of a minor argument. His wife, Mrs. Tess Iyi Wigwe, narrated, through her lawyer, Judy Thongori, that after beating her on 11 May 2011 following the minor argument with the husband, she was seriously injured on the face, neck, fingers and spinal cord and was only rescued by her 20-year-old son and 23-year-old daughter who rushed her to hospital while bleeding profusely. That qualified as a national shame for the High commissioner, who's currently in custody. Imagine the grown children saved their mother. I hear she is still recovering 3 years later.
