I don't even remember the second year anniversary but it's been 3 year already we lost the King of Pop Michael Jackson. Rest in Peace Michael! Paris, his oldest child and only daughter tweeted this morning to remember her beloved dad.

A new Michael Jackson album is expected by the end of the year, culled from unreleased material in his vaults. But Jackson collaborator and Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am is vehemently opposed to the idea.

"I don't think that should ever come out. That's bad," he said. "He was a perfectionist and he wouldn't have wanted it that way. How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain't here to bless it?"

Will.i.am collaborated with Jackson on the rerelease of "Thriller" in 2008 with remixed versions of some of the album's classic songs. He said Jackson was very particular about all aspects of his musical productions, from his vocals to arrangements to instrumentation.

"Now that he is not part of the process, what are they doing? Why would you put a record out like that? Because he was a friend of mine, I just think that's disrespectful," he said. "What's wrong with what he already contributed to the world?"

The Jackson estate did not respond to a request for comment.

When asked about the high demand for any new Jackson music, will.i.am replied: "So what? You don't disrespect someone when they're gone. ... How much can you suck from his energy? ... Freaking parasites!"

Not much is known about what will be on the album, but Michael's brother Jackie has said he and brother Marlon were working on the record with John McClain, Jackson's former manager and executor of his estate.

R.I.P: FANS REMEMBER MICHAEL JACKSON A YEAR LATER.

On the first anniversary of the King of Pop's death, DJ Quick will once again play Michael Jackson tunes, at the club Taj in Manhattan, but he expects a more cheerful party this time.

"They wanna celebrate his life and music," he said. "His albums are like timelines in your life. You can remember what you were doing ... when 'Thriller' came out."

The Taj party will be part of the global celebration of Jackson's brilliant but troubled life. Jackson died at age 50 as he was preparing for comeback concerts in London.

In that city, a memorial was unveiled Thursday to a gaggle of press who packed the foyer of London's Lyric Theatre, the site of an impromptu wake following the pop superstar's death last year.

Perri Luc Kiely, 14, a member of the dance troupe Diversity, pulled back a pair of dark purple curtains to reveal a small plaque featuring a young Jackson with a wide, beaming smile. Applause and the bright flashes of cameras erupted.

"He influenced me and the whole group so much, and it was just a real big honour to be able to do that," Perri said.

With the foyer packed to the brim with photographers, videographers and journalists, fans stood on the street and peered in, capturing the moment with their camera phones.

Leanne Irving, 20, travelled seven hours by bus from her home in northern England to be able to attend the memorial events.

"An absolute inspiration. I would love to be like him and dance like him. He inspires everything I want to do in life and everything I want to achieve," said Irving, an aspiring performance artist.

In Hong Kong, Jackson imitators performed to the late singer's classics at a suburban mall Thursday. Four-year-old Wang Yiming danced to "Dangerous" wearing Jackson's trademark black fedora hat, a black suit with a silver armband and white socks.

While festive celebrations like parties are expected on Friday, there will also be sombre remembrances. In Gary, Indiana, Jackson's hometown, there will be a tribute at the Jackson home; city officials said they expected Michael's mother Katherine and his niece Genevieve to show up, along with thousands of others.

Other close friends and family members, such as Jackson's brother, Randy, are also expected to gather Friday morning for a private service at Forest Lawn cemetery outside of Los Angeles, where he is buried.

"My family and I will be in attendance as we mourn the loss of my brother," Jackson said in a statement Thursday. "I would like to thank the fans and friends for their continued love, support, and prayers."

Katherine Jackson has thrown her support behind a "Forever Michael" fan event to be held Saturday at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Tickets range from $150 to $500.

The Apollo Theatre in Harlem, where a young Michael Jackson and his brothers won amateur night, will host a commemoration Friday of Jackson's life in front of the recently installed plaque honouring him in the legendary theatre's new hall of fame.

And later in the afternoon in Harlem, around the hour of Jackson's death, the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network will hold a moment of silence.

Sharpton, a longtime associate of Jackson and his family and who gave impassioned remarks at Jackson's televised memorial last July, said he thought a moment of silence was appropriate to show "the sanctity of the hour. He meant a lot to us of all races in terms of bringing us together in another kind of spirit.

"I wanted to make sure that we showed that in the middle of all this that is going on in the world that Michael is someone that we would all stop for ... He was more than just a singer, he was a social force, and a sense of inspiration."

Michael Jackson's siblings have slammed reports they were jealous of their brother's superstardom - insisting they never resented his success. The Thriller hitmaker rose to fame as part of The Jackson 5 with brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon. Michael went on to launch his solo career and became one of the most influential performers of all time, until his tragic death in June (09). And Jackson's brothers are adamant there was never ill-feeling within the family, because he was continuing the Jackson "brand".

Marlon Jackson tells TV host Larry King, "When I see my brother doing that (performing), it makes me so proud of him, being one of the biggest artists in the world. Breaking all kinds of records, the records. I'm so proud of him for doing that. That's hard to do, Larry. It's hard work. His last name is Jackson, right?" While Tito added, "We (The Jackson 5) worked relentlessly to build this name, to brand this name internationally.

And then Michael branched off and continued to even take it to another level with the last name Jackson, it just continued to brand the name Jackson. So no, it's like a machine. We're all working together. And in some cases, just excel." And Jermaine believes Jackson could have been even more successful if he had lived longer: "That's my brother. We're happy. He was going to go further. We were going to be more proud. He was going to go further, I think."

As you might imagine, there is a major bittersweetness involved while watching Michael Jackson's This Is It.

Consider the entire documentary, which began a limited two week run at Canadian theatres at midnight on Tuesday night, is fascinating behind-the-scenes footage of rehearsals for a concert comeback for Jackson that never happened after his untimely death on June 25 at the age of 50.

As Jackson is prophetically shown saying himself at the March press conference to announce the run of London shows: "This is the final curtain."

So not only do you mourn for the man himself - revealed to be an eccentric, playful, and creative perfectionist in the film, and more importantly still a vital singer and flashy dancer for anyone who had doubts about his health - but for what might have been the next great phase of his career.

Jackson, who hadn't toured in more than a decade, was just eight days away from leaving from L.A. for London and a 50-show run at 02 Arena when he died at his home from a cardiac arrest.

This Is It was culled from 120 hours of footage of Jackson rehearsing at the Staples Centre with show director Kenny Ortega, who also directed the movie, and various choreographers, dancers, the band and filmmakers who shot striking footage to be used in the live show.

Clearly Ortega, who directed the three High School Musical films and choreographed countless other seminal pieces of movie dancing - Matthew Broderick performing Twist and Shout in Ferris Beuller's Day Off and Patrick Swaye's memorable moves in Dirty Dancing - knows how to pace a film filled with so much dancing and singing. I cannot watch it. You can never understand that part of me, just like Diana Ross did not attend the funeral nor the memorial. I met Michael as a teen.

LATOYA JACKSON SAYS THAT MJ'S KIDS ARE STILL STRUGGLING!

Michael Jackson's sister La Toya has opened up about the superstar's children - insisting they are still traumatised by the singer's tragic death. Jackson's mother Katherine was granted full custody of Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II aka Blanket, after the superstar passed away in June (09) and the trio moved into her home in Encino, Los Angeles. La Toya admits it is heart-breaking to watch the youngsters deal with such a devastating loss. of Michael and she watches tapes of him all the time.

She says, "Paris talks about her father all the time. She writes a lot and wears his shirts every day. They still smell of him and it helps her feel close to him. Her bedroom is covered in posters "Prince just doesn't want to speak about it. He won't even watch the DVDs - he just walks straight past the TV. It's too soon, too touching. I do worry about him very much. And Blanket is just a very sad, shy little boy. He cries - he really does cry. No one can bring his daddy back - and it hurts so much. They all go to therapy and I truly hope Prince especially will be able to open up there."

LOOKS LIKE ONE JACKSON BROTHER APPROVES OF THE "THIS IS IT" MOVIE!

Michael Jackson's brother Jackie has become the first member of the family to give the late star's concert rehearsal movie This Is It a seal of approval after watching the film last week.
Jackie saw This Is It on Thursday (22Oct09), and was impressed with his tragic sibling's last ever stage performance. He tells TMZ.com, "My brother's movie is truly riveting. Michael is electrifying! We get a glimpse of a true genius at work."

But Jackie is one of the few Jacksons who will see the film, which will hit cinemas this week - sister La Toya has confirmed she and many of her family members won't be seeing the movie.
Another person who has already seen the feature is longtime Jackson friend Elizabeth Taylor, who raved about it. She hosted a screening earlier this month (Oct09) and led an ovation as the end credits rolled. She was overheard saying, "The film was pure genius."

ESTATE FEUD: KATHERINE JACKSON FIRES HER ATTORNEY LONDELL MCMILLAN AND OWNER OF SOURCE MAGAZINE!

Michael Jackson's mother fired the lawyers helping her fight for control of her son's estate, but her new lawyer missed a key hearing where the judge gave more power to the men she is opposing.

Katherine Jackson replaced lawyers Burt Levitch and Londell McMillan with Adam Streisand, a lawyer known for his expertise in Los Angeles probate cases.

"The family came to a decision before they called me," Streisand said. "They felt they needed a different perspective and fresh look at how this case was being approached."

But Streisand arrived at court Thursday minutes after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ended a hearing in which he granted a request from estate special administrators John Branca and John McClain for more authority to make deals on behalf of Jackson's estate.

"I want this estate to move forward and I want these creditors to be dealt with," Beckloff said. "And while we are proceeding in this posture, I want Mrs. Jackson to have information about what is going on and I don't want to be in court all the time."

The promoters behind Michael Jackson's ill-fated This Is It comeback shows balked at the spiralling costs of the production when the budget shot up from $7 million to $24 million as the King of Pop perfected his act. And when Jackson suggested Africa's Victoria Falls be recreated onstage, the concert bosses decided enough was enough. The pop superstar died in June (09), just weeks before the show was set to debut at the O2 Arena in London - and Randy Phillips, the president of promotion firm AEG Live which organized the concerts, insists they would have been spectacular, and expensive.

He says, "The original budget was seven-and-a-half million dollars (and) I knew when we did the deal, knowing Michael, it would go to 10, maybe 12; by the time it hit 24, I was actually ready to jump off the balcony because we were running out of time, running out of money.
"He said to us he wanted us to recreate Victoria Falls... We looked at each other and said, 'How are we gonna do that?' "We were able to talk him out of the waterfall."

ABSURD: CAN MICHAEL REALLY REST IN PEACE AS JANET WANTS TO DO COLLABOS WITH HIM FROM THE GRAVE!!

Janet Jackson has teamed up with her brother Michael from beyond the grave to record a new track for her upcoming greatest hits compilation. The siblings duetted on hit dance track Scream, which also appears on the new Number Ones album, but few fans knew the pair had collaborated on another tune, titled Make Me, which will close the two-CD set. Very little is known about the new track, apart from the fact it was recorded last year (08). Jackson's new hits package will be released in November (09).

A U.S. judge overseeing MICHAEL JACKSON's estate has handed power of attorney to the executors of the star's will. At a hearing on Friday (02Oct09), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff gave Jackson's administrators - lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain - the authority to consider challenges to the singer's will. The pair can also enter into business deals that Katherine Jackson, the King of Pop's beloved mother, does not oppose. They also have the right to represent Jackson's estate in a number of cases that were pending at the time of his death in June (09).

Beckloff declared Branca and McClain will retain their control until the end of the year (09), despite objections from an attorney representing Katherine. The pair is said to have raised $90 million in posthumous profits by negotiating merchandising and film deals, and predict they will earn another $90 million before the end of the year (09). The Thriller legend died with debts amounting to approximately $398 million.

SONY VAULTS FULL OF UNRELEASED JACKSON TUNES.

Sony bosses have vaults full of of unreleased MICHAEL JACKSON recordings, which they plan to release sparingly in the coming months and years. At least five new tracks will appear on the soundtrack to Jackson's new concert rehearsal movie This Is It, including the title track and a spoken word poem called Planet Earth. And Sony chairman Rob Stringer admits there's plenty more music where those tunes came from.

He tells Rolling Stone magazine,

"We have a lot of music in the vaults. We will take our time with the rest of the material." And there's more music in vaults at soul label Motown, according to Jackson's one-time producer Samm Brown. Shortly after the King of Pop's death in June (09), he told WENN, "Michael was such a perfectionist and he had a lot of stuff that he didn't use. I know, for a fact, that Motown has a deep vault and I would say there are 100 or more tracks sitting at Motown alone. "There will be somebody in his (Jackson) camp who will want to release all of the lost tracks he recorded - dating way back to the 1960s. There's huge money to be made off of these recordings."
