JESUS’ WIFE? An ancient document in which Jesus speaks of his “wife” is likely genuine, according to new research.

The papyrus fragment contains several Coptic phrases, including “Jesus said to them, my wife” followed on the next line by “… she is able to be my disciple.”

The fragment dates to 8th-century Egypt, and researchers say it allows insight into early Christianity’s debates about family life.
