Gov Olunloyo and Kemi |
In today's Punch Newspapers his close friend Lekan Are has now disclosed that he was flown abroad for medical treatment. Hope it makes sense now. To those of you who are my sister Funke Olunloyo's friends who posted garbage here calling me an attention seeker looking for comments, those are not the kind of views I blog, pls ask Funke when the last time she visited her own ailing elderly father living in the same Ibadan as she is? She is too busy working for the government knowing she won't have a job in 5 mos. Of course on Sept 19th 2014 after she attacked me along with her son, my father called her the "most wicked" of his children, so Funke's friends pls do not post anything to my fans here suggesting there is "nothing wrong with baba". I am his primary caregiver, NOT Funke! You need to know some of his children JUST DON"T CARE!
His Facebook page is co-managed by his oldest grandchild and him. My dad asked for a FB page in 2010 after rumors of his death while he was at UCH for surgery was in the papers. I woke up in Canada, 6 hours behind in time to see my FB wall with #RIP. In denial, I called my dad's phone one last time, only to have him pick it up beside his bed in UCH. He was alive!
Death hoaxes are common on social media today since 2009 when I first noticed several musicians dead on twitter. Clerics and crowds were at my door in the last hour and we told them dad is fine. It is common knowledge that my father Victor Omololu Olunloyo is one of the few public figures that seek admissions and surgery from UCH (University College Hospital).
The hospital has been on strike for at least the last 4 months. UCH is the FIRST teaching hospital in West Africa that graduated several prominent doctors around the world both Nigerian and foreign. President Goodluck Jonathan just made yet another appeal on the 18th of December to have health workers please go back to work. There has been no response despite all the new state of the art equipment former Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu installed there. I also made an appeal on my old TV health show asking doctors to remember their oath and go back to work. Many patients have lost their lives due to this strike.

This is the face of the degenerating health sector in Nigeria. My dad Former Governor Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo is alive and in stable condition. Keep him in your prayers. He is now in old age.
