African Union representative to the UN Security Council Tete Antonio has asked the UN not to forget the challenge of migration between developing countries.
Mr Antonio said that poorer countries bore the biggest burden of migration and need assistance.
He was talking after the EU foreign policy chief asked for UN help to dismantle criminal groups smuggling migrants into Europe.
