The 25-year-old singer was hosting a pre-MTV VMAs party at 1Oak nightclub in West Hollywood on Saturday and Death Row Records founder Suge was shot at the bash.
And as the 49-year-old record producer recovers at home from his bullet wounds, Chris is said to have extended a helping hand.
'Out of respect, [Chris reached out to Suge] and told him that if there was anything he needed, to ask him,' a source told Hollywood Life.
'Chris genuinely wanted to know how he was doing and if he needed anything and if he's good. He would have done that for anyone in that situation.'
According to TMZ, six shots were fired at around 1.30am on Sunday and Suge is said to have been hit twice. The website later reported that alleged eyewitnesses noted on Twitter the shots seemed to aimed for Chris initially.
Apparently Chris had nothing at all to do with the tragedy and it's said he laments something like this occurred at one of his parties.
'He's all about peace and love and that night just happened to have some people in there who didn't have the same energy and led to what happened,' the insider detailed to Hollywood Life. 'But all is good and this is the last time he's mentioning anything about it.'
It's thought two others were shot at the bash, with one of these victims being admitted to hospital in a critical condition.
Tyson Beckford, The Black Eyed Peas' apl.de.ap and Justin Bieber also attended the event. Suge's a good guy in the industry and that's just MY OPINION. He rarely gets any love.Hope he feels better.
