2012 BET CYPHER MISSING NIGERIAN AND CANADIAN HIP-HOP ARTISTS. REASON>>LACK OF PR/ARTIST DEVELOPMENT.

2 weekends ago, the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards was taped in Atlanta and aired last nite on October 9th. HOWEVER, we in Nigeria are not seeing the show till this Saturday the 13th of October 2012. Here is a look at the 43 artists that will be participating the cyphers this year. Previews were already released for the West Coast, Ruff Ryders and Grand Hustle cyphers. This is the largest cypher I have EVER seen. It also shows what I call a disturbing trend in two areas.

There are NO Nigerian Hip-Hop artists, Sarkodie was the only African, and a BET award winner. Why isn't BET awards winner WizKid not in the list? I guess he doesn't rap enough and seen more as a pop singer. I once booked him as HipHossip's guest on MTV Canada and he didn't make it. The other disturbing trend is absolutely not one Canadian hip-hop artist made the list. The same thing goes for the Canadian rappers. They are known never to invest in good PR. This is why that market continues to collapse.
