Amy Winehouse acquitted!

On the heels of her Grammy triumph, where she won five awards, Amy Winehouse received more good news yesterday: Charges against her in a case involving her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, have been dropped. The singer was arrested in December and freely agreed to submit to police questioning in the investigation into an alleged plan to derail a criminal case against her husband, who was accused of causing bodily harm to a pub landlord during a pub brawl in June 2006. "Amy is pleased to be discounted from the investigation and thanks the police for their professionalism in their dealings with her," said her rep. While Blake was in court today, pleading not guilty to the charges, Amy, who blew kisses and mouthed the words "I love you" to him at his prior court appearance in November, was nowhere to be seen this time. Instead, she was allegedly off to Paris, where she was to perform at a party for Louis Vuitton.
