WOW: DARTFORD, KENT, UK TO NAME 13 STREETS AFTER ROLLING STONES TRACKS!

Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are set to be honoured by having 13 streets named after Rolling Stones tracks in their hometown. The pair - who both grew up in Dartford, Kent - will see the town's council christen the roads of the new $800 million Bridge estate with names including Satisfaction Street, Ruby Tuesday Drive, Stones Avenue and Angie Mews. Dartford Council is set to confirm the choices today (12.12.08).

Council leader Jeremy Kite joked: "You can't always get what you want, but in this case I think we can get some satisfaction." The quirky idea has been embraced by locals who think the gesture will be well received by legendary rockers Mick and Keith. Resident John Warner, 42, said: "For once the council has come up with something which makes a bit of sense. "I'm sure Mick and the band will be delighted to be recognised in this way."

Julia Swan, 34, added: "I think this is a great idea - but God knows what the postman will think!" However, police have warned the council the estate could fall victim to thieves who may steal the signs to keep as memorabilia - much like Beatles fans stole the infamous street plaques for Abbey Road and Penny Lane.
