OPINION: (Photos) The Pain of Losing my #Islamic Godfather Abdul Azeez Arisekola Alao. #RIPAare #HNNMemorial

#RIP to my beloved Islamic Godfather Alhaji Abdul Azeez Arisekola Alao, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland. When I was BORN, he was 20, my dad was 30, carried me as a child, he promised to send me to Mecca next year and throw me the biggest 50th birthday party in 6 weeks, however I knew he was seriously sick with prostrate cancer. On his 69th birthday, the day of #LOVE February 14th 2014, what Aare was best known for, LOVE to the people, handing out wads of cash, sending ppl to Mecca and just spreading love, I spent Valentine's evening with him on his sick bed, we spoke, joked and ate birthday cake as visitors after visitors poured in. I wanted Aare to enjoy what could have been his LAST birthday. My prayer was to see his BIG 70th, my BIG 50th and my Dad's BIG 80th. Today I am 49, my dad 79 and Aare Arisekola died at 69. May Allah welcome him into the greatest place ever. Heaven has gained a super Angel. I have asked that the N4M he was to give me for my birthday celebrations be given to the poor muslims at his mosque in Iwo road. That's what he stood for!

The last thing he said to me Feb 14th 2014 in the middle of a crowded room of dignitaries while on his sick bed was "Omo Mololu, O buru baje!" Meaning Omololu Olunloyo's daughter. Very Ruthless No nonsense girl! He watched me grow up. Watch how he impacted my life in my "50 Moments that impacted KOO's life" a one hour Special LIVE on MITV Ibadan August 6th 2014. How Arisekola picked me up after my hospitalization in 2006 and instead of taking me straight home, we went to a supermarket just to get all my new dietary recommendations. N60,000 worth of oyinbo food. Also how Bishop Solanke and him prayed for me after.

His title is NOT a chieftaincy. Chief Akinloye named him the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland. There is no need for some ppl to start fighting over that already. There will be NO OTHER Aare! He touched the lives of many.

#RIP Godfather!
