9News reports that Ted Williams became an overnight internet sensation after a good Samaritan posted a video of the Ohio man and his deep, dulcet tones.
The job offers poured in and Williams eventually entered into a deal with America's Next Voiceproducers Randy Thomas and Joe Cipriano (whose reality TV show competition picks out future voice over talent) as well as Spirit Digital Media director Zev Suissa.
All three are named as defendants in the lawsuit, reported by TMZ. Williams claims he signed a deal with them that he describes as "one-sided, onerous, burdensome, non-negotiated and blatantly unfair".While not going into details about the contract, the thrust of Williams' complaint is that he signed at a time when he was struggling with "significant drug and alcohol abuse" and was "totally incapable of understanding what was happening to him or handling [his] own affairs."
