RAPPER AND MUCH MUSIC RAP CITY FREESTYLE CHAMP CHURCH CHIZZLE GRADUATES FROM REMIX PROJECT.

HipHossip friend Canadian Rapper Church Chizzle is just one of the young Torontonians who recently graduated from the Remix project. For six months, youth spent hours on a bus - almost daily - travelling from places like Rexdale, Scarborough and Flemington Park to the Remix Project offices on Pardee Avenue in Liberty Village. Once there, the youth were met with hours of work, study and workshops. Despite the hard work, youth at the Aug. 10 Remix Project graduation ceremony said the dreams that led them to the Remix Project in the first place are now within sight."This is such a big moment for most of us and especially me," said Kimberly Miller Price, 20. "I feel like I accomplished something."

For a girl from Flemington Park, Price said she learned through Remix that her life was not condemned to a certain path. She said she chose her route and came out of it successfully. The Remix Project offers youth from across Toronto the tools and support they need to realize their creative dreams. Youth get access to top-notch educational programs, facilitators and facilities in programs such as photography, recording and creative arts and business. Read about Church and the rest of the graduates here.
