Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning and confirmed “2011 MTV Video Music Awards” performer Lady Gaga will appear LIVE on Thursday, August 18th at 7:49pm ET to make a #VMA announcement and tease her new VMA promo simultaneously on MTV and Logo during “MTV First: Lady Gaga.” In addition, she will introduce her new music video “Yoü and I” for its television premiere and respond to feedback from fans with her and online. Immediately following the on-air portion, Gaga will stay on for an exclusive LIVE interview and interactive Q&A session with MTV News’ Sway Calloway on MTV.com. Fans can submit questions beginning today through MTV.com and Twitter (using @MTVNews / hash-tag #MTVGAGA).Lady Gaga’s new VMA promo will premiere in its entirety later that night on MTV during “ Jersey Shore ” at 10pm ET/PT.
Lady Gaga joins previously announced 2011 VMA performers including Adele, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Young The Giant. The “2011 MTV Video Music Awards” will air live from Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers and presenters on a later date. “Yoü and I” is the fourth single to be released from Lady Gaga’s third studio album, Born This Way. In addition to performing, Lady Gaga is nominated for four Moonmen at the “2011 MTV Video Music Awards,” including Best Female Video (“Born This Way”), Best Art Direction(“Judas”), Best Choreography (“Judas”) and Best Video with a Message (“Born This Way”).
