News presenters most often work from a television studio or radio studio, but may also present the news from remote locations in the field related to a particular major news event. I once freelanced for weekends at CBS46 in Atlanta while doing a documentary of the station during my US days and had a stint in 2014 earlier this year with MITV Ibadan, Nigeria. However I write health news as a special medical correspondent at NTA, Nigeria's TV broadcaster but not on air.
