Kenyan MP George #Muchai and three of his aides are shot dead in the capital #Nairobi, in what police describe as a "well-planned" attack. The assailants shot the four at close range. Mr Muchai, two bodyguards and his driver died at the scene.
Mr Muchai was a member of parliament for Kenya's governing Jubilee coalition and was elected for the first time two years ago.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said he was shocked by the attack, calling Mr Muchai "a true servant of the people".
Opposition leader Raila Odinga has also condemned the killing, but said it was part of wider insecurity in Kenya.
"Our country is bleeding and an atmosphere of fear and hopelessness is spreading from the unresolved murders and deaths," Mr Odinga said in a statement.
