THE SUSPENSION SYSTEMS
The suspension system, part of the under carriage of an automobile, contains springs that move up and down to absorb bumps and vibrations. In one type of suspension system, a long tube or strut has a shock absorber built into its centre section. Shock absorber control or damper the sudden loading and unloading of suspension springs to reduce wheel bounce and the stock transferred from the road wheel to the body. One shock absorber is installed at each wheel. Modern shock absorbers have a telescoping design and use oil gas and air, or a combination to absorb energy

THE VEHICLE SPRING
Another component of suspension system is the spring. Both connect the vehicle’s frame to the wheels. Springs ‘’ soften’’ the effects of bumps while the shock absorber cushions the bouncing effects of spring ensuring the vehicle maintain traction and better road contact’’.
