The Game has checked into jail!

Last night hip hop star The Game has turned himself in to begin serving a 60-day jail sentence. The rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, received the sentence as a part of a plea deal in which he pleaded no contest to felony possession of a firearm in a school zone. Two other charges against him - making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer, were dismissed. He may not make it out in time for the premiere of his new movie with Keanu Reeves and Common called ``Street Kings``which comes out April 1st.

The charges stem from a 2007 basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in Compton. Game alleged beat up another player - then he brandished a pistol and threatening to kill him. TMZ has a tape of him arriving in jail.
