Mrs Roli George Nigeria's Drug Enforcement Chief |
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria appointed Mrs. Roli Bode-George as the Director General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on 20th June 2014. She holds the rank of Deputy Commander-General of Narcotics (DCGN).
Mrs. Bode-George is the Secretary of the Governing Board of the NDLEA, the highest policy making body of the anti-drug agency. She is Chairman of the Management Disciplinary Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Management Board.
Through the agency secretariat which she heads, she directly supervises the Abuja liaison service, the National Drug Control Master Plan (NDCMP)/ Inter Ministrial Committee (IMC) on Drug Control Secretariat, the agency's Internal Affairs and Security units. She also supervises the seven Directorates of the agency and fourty-nine Commands. She is directly responsible to the Chairman/ Chief Executive who holds the rank of Commander-General of Narcotics (CGN).
Prior to becoming the Director General/ Secretary of the NDLEA, Mrs. Bode-George paid her dues in public service. She served as Honourable Federal Commissioner, representing Lagos State on the National Population Commission. Earlier, she was Director, Christian Pilgrims Board and a Member of the Governing Board of the Federal Housing Authority. Mrs. Bode-George was Special Political Assistant to the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) National Vice-Chairman (South-West). She has vast experience in public service administration, social mobilisation and advocacy.
