Most of you remember that in 2014, I was nominated for the Top Influencer award and was the only Nigerian and only female in the category. The Social Media Africa Awards has been a very good enlightening avenue this year 2015 in letting the world know where social media is heading and where we are in Africa. With the sister website Social Media Africa Hub dishing out articles and great story links from all over the internet to the memorable maiden edition of the awards in January 2015,  we are taking social media places in 2016.

As a Brand Ambassador, I intend to channel young people positively to see and learn the good, bad and ugly sides of this medium, learn from it and explore it. I educate people online and kids on the streets of Nigeria teaching them Android and IOS technology including the famous "Madam KOO Selfies." My albums at Kemi's Kids Foundation are a must see

Children are a big part of this social media revolution and my son KJ  now 15 has been on it since 6yo. He even did a Twitter public service announcement when he was just 8yo and today look at how twitter matters. My goal at KKF (Kemis Kids Foundation) is to get the children involved early and safely. Today terrorist recruiters are looking to radicalize many youth. It is so important to let them know what to look for and beware of,  after all look at what Emir of Kano Lamido Sanusi said on NTA (Nigerian TV) during a live Ramadan lecture on TV. KJ was the only kid who attended the maiden edition of the Social Media Awards Africa. He was enlightened and said he was empowered by all the activities especially the conference.
