Last month, I told you how media outlets were suffering in Nigeria without funds and salaries unpaid to employees. I also told you that the government doesn't bail out media workers. AIT owed 17 mos salary while ThisDay owed 5 mos-10 mos. Now we have seen the Chairmen of these companies getting money from the NSA but was it for bailouts? Even Nduka Obaigbena of ThisDay/Arise claims he gave some moneys to other newspaper as a result of the newspaper seizures lat year by the army. Nigerian Tribune denied getting N10M writing the EFCC promptly. Employees continue to suffer. The fleecing of Nigeria continues.
