BLACK HISTORY MONTH GALA HONORS SYTYCD JUDGE TRE ARMSTRONG.

CONGRATS TO Choreographer, Actress, Dancer and Mentor, Tre Armstrong who will receive the prestigious "Success, Engagement, Empowerment Award" at the 3rd Annual Black History Month Gala, Saturday, February 4, 2012, in Ottawa. This prestigious award is given to those who reach out and make a difference in communities around the world and at home. Ms. Armstrong epitomizes these values.

In that big hug above, I watched the "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" Judge work tirelessly through the Tre Armstrong Give Back Foundation, teaching youth through dance and workshops the importance of feeling good about themselves, not letting the past hold them hostage, but allowing the future to set them free. Tre's vision, spirit and strength are a guiding light to those around her, at home and abroad.

Ms. Armstrong is deeply honored and humbled to receive this award. Other guests will include the 27th Governor General of Canada, Her Excellency the Right Honorable Michaelle Jean, Mr. Jean- Daniel Lafond and his Royal Highness, Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso of Lesotho. The always-busy Ms. Armstrong, will return to the nations capital to take part inFashion Week. (Feb.17-19) Tre along with fellow celebrities will walk the runway for a special fashion show, Sunday, February 19th, 2012, in support of Fashion Week's charitable partner, UNICEFF CANADA. The event, Organized and co Hosted by Kevin Carroll of allasseccwithkevin.com will take place in the Confederation Ball Room of Ottawa's Westin Hotel.

I got to meet Tre and her beautiful family at one of her free dance sessions she held for Toronto youth which KJ attended too. You can see KJ in glasses behind her on the right. Full coverage finally coming in @MyYoungToronto this month when we launch.
