#MADAMGOVERNOR FOOD: MY DINNER>> LIKE GEORGIA IS TO PEACHES, AMALA IS TO IBADAN, NIGERIA.

LIVE 9pm Nigeria: What I just had for dinner. Amala is my hometown dish made from yam or cassava flour. No, it's not chocolate pudding. You can even make it in America or Europe. the powder is sold in the African grocery stores. We just have ours from the yams and fresher.

Start with hot water and the powder of these yams is slowly blended with the hot water to avoid lumps. This is served with your fave stew. In this case, I am eating a fish stew with a green veggie called ewedu.
This is an iconic dish in Ibadan, Nigeria, my hometown and the first thing you will eat as soon as you get here. People eat everything with their hands here. I could never. It has to be a fork!! The first thing they will rip in my picture here is the fact that I used a fork.
